THE SMITHSONIAN IS COMING TO GAFFNEY!
Mark your calendars and prepare to experience the wonder of small town innovation! From interactive displays showcasing innovation from around rural America, to animatronics and VR experiences telling the story of our very own Gaffney community, this exhibit will inspire visitors to discover how they can positively contribute to the story of our city. This exhibit will be great for families and friends of all ages!

Spark! Places of Innovation has been made possible in Gaffney by the SC Humanities Council. Local programming is supported by the SC Humanities Council, City of Gaffney, SC, Cherokee County Museum, Cherokee County Public Library, Cherokee Alliance of Visual Artists, Cherokee County School District, Cherokee Charter Academy, Palmetto Christian Academy of Gaffney, and the Gaffney Board of Public Works (BPW).
Spark! is a Museum on Main Street exhibition developed by the Smithsonian Institution. It is
inspired by Places of Invention, an exhibition developed by the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation.
Museum on Main Street is a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State
Humanities Councils nationwide that serves the small-town cultural organizations and citizens of
rural America.
