So thrilled to give my Simms Fishing Products waders their inaugural run on the River Wye in England fishing for barbel and chub on the float. They feel and fit awesome and what a difference it makes in the water to have waders and boots that are specifically designed for women. What a fab day!

I'm almost feeling a little guilty that this is my office view right now with the summer breeze blowing in the window. It's equally distracting looking at the rolling English countryside with cows grazing in the fields, the Black Mountains over there in Wales in the distance and our resident horses doing their thing just outside the window. Talk about inspiring!

A fun story that I worked on just published in Catfish NOW magazine. I take readers and anglers on a Big Blues & BBQs road trip in Texas where you can land some massive blue catfish and reward a hard day on the water with some memorable Texas BBQ. It's a win-win!

It’s always fun being in the UK at the start of the fishing season. For anglers it’s the equivalent of a national holiday. After low water levels all spring the River Wye got a nice flush of water over the weekend giving anglers even more to reason to be giddy for the start of the season. These are from the beats of Dean & Chapter and Strangford of the Brockhampton Fishery.

Well this was a first for me today.

I'm not sure if this is considered the modern day "win" if your own photo shows up in the Google AI summary for a topic, but I was a bit shocked to see myself when I needed to check something related to Tiger shovelnose catfish. While I appreciate that the AI bots turn to my photo and expertise from my articles for the expert-dive into Tiger shovelnose catfish caught in the Guyanese rainforest...BUT...the image it used to supplement the summary is of a Redtail catfish, not a Tiger shovelnose catfish.

If you are relying heavily on AI for your information, you better double-and-triple check it through multiple independent sources.

Set up and settled in the UK where I'll be based for the summer. I'm loving my workspace with tranquil views over the rolling English countryside.
