"Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world."
(John Muir)

Life is a continuous unfolding, a journey punctuated by transitions and opportunities for growth. Just as between every two pines lies a passage to a new vista, so too do new beginnings and fresh perspectives emerge at every turn.

Challenges and setbacks, though sometimes daunting, ultimately create space for new possibilities. Embracing change, stepping through the metaphorical doorway between the pines, allows us to discover unexpected paths, fresh perspectives, and unforeseen opportunities.

Moving forward, even when uncertain, opens us to a world of potential, inviting us to start new chapters, explore uncharted territories, and embrace the adventure of life's ongoing journey. ❤☀

In the winter of my days, I've learned to slow down, to walk deliberately and purposefully, to appreciate small kindnesses and hold dear to my heart those who love deeply.

I tend to veer off and take a different road, one that's as free of drama and aggravation as possible. Life is more peaceful that way.

I count my blessings and get through the day the best way I can, with a little faith, a heart full of hope, some laughter and a lot of friendship along the way. Jody Doty

Wintering is a life process.
Soon we will settle down for a long winter’s nap at Cricket Cove.
We will miss seeing the cabin all covered in snow this year.
Here’s to a brighter springtime with all kinds of renewal.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Plants and animals don’t fight the winter; they don’t pretend it’s not happening and attempt to carry on living the same lives that they lived in the summer. They prepare. They adapt. They perform extraordinary acts of metamorphosis to get them through.
Winter is a time of withdrawing from the world, maximising scant resources, carrying out acts of brutal efficiency and vanishing from sight; but that’s where the transformation occurs.
Winter is not the death of the life cycle, but its crucible. Once we stop wishing it were summer, winter can be a glorious season in which the world takes on a sparse beauty and even the pavements sparkle.
It’s a time for reflection and recuperation, for slow replenishment, for putting your house in order.
Doing those deeply unfashionable things; slowing down, letting your spare time expand, getting enough sleep, resting ...

Listen-whatever it is that makes you wake up, whatever it is that makes you feel a moment of peace or a glimmer of hope, just keep it close. Please, live for it. Make sure that you focus on it. Make sure that you make time for it. I don't care what it is.
You have to understand that happiness does not have to be this big all-consuming thing. Sometimes happiness is your morning cup of coffee. Sometimes it is the smell in the street after it rains, or your favorite song played on repeat for three hours straight. Sometimes happiness is your friend's laughter or the way the sky looks through the trees in your favorite park.
If it keeps you going, if it ignited something within you, it doesn't matter how small or grand it is. Just hold on to it. Let it save you. ~Bianca Sparacino
