Yesterday we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have gutters installed on the cottage. No more drips of rain falling on our heads as we entered! Woo hoo! Prestige Gutter Solutions did a fabulous job and we appreciate the quick install between the stays of our guests. 👍🏻

There’s something magical about watching a combine cut through the wheat, especially when you see it through the eyes of a little one. 🌾✨ My son stood there in awe, completely mesmerized by the whole process. It’s moments like these that remind me how special it is to be surrounded by nature and the simple beauty of farm life.

The Forest Room started with a vision inspired from this adorable owl wallpaper. We picked out the perfect shade of green, painted the walls and when the wallpaper arrived...we decided it wasn't going to work. 😵‍💫 The strong contrast of black and white was too harsh for the soft vintage vibes we were going for, so back to Wayfair we went and ended up with this incredible deer print in navy blue. The print was perfect, being subtle to complement the decor instead of screaming..."Look at me!"

Our team wasn't the best at taking before photos of the cottage, but the sun room originally had lower ceilings covered in red walls. This photo was taken after the first round of demolition. When we discovered we had more height to explore, we knew that ceiling had to come down! And we're so glad we did because the additional height allows the light to bounce even more around this incredible room! How'd we do?

This turned out so amazing and we’re not even done! Great job to Adrene & Dan for choosing the bright red chairs and All-Pro Ground Construction for building our perfect fire pit. Not only is it relaxing by the willow tree, but it looks super instagramy. 😍

Our first guest comes next week and we’re working like crazy to finish all the final touches. It was 1am when I finished this mirror last night and the lighting was too dark to show its beauty, but I can’t wait to share the finished look. It turned out incredible! We’re so excited to provide such a beautiful space for making memories!

There are so many wallpapers in the cottage that have amplified the beauty and experience of relaxing in this home, but I have to say the hallway paper is my absolute favorite! The blue and white combo is stunning in person!
