Halloween safety isn't just for humans. Trupanion recommends keeping Halloween candy away from your cats and dogs because both chocolate and xylitol are toxic to them. Please also be aware that while putting them in costumes is fun for us, it's sometimes stressful and dangerous for them. And watch out for any Halloween décor your pet could get ahold of and swallow. Here's to a safe and happy holiday for our fur friends!

Although the weather in starting to improve it's important to be aware of the surroundings due to all the fallen trees, power lines, and flooded areas. Avoid driving over flooded areas as these areas conceal downed power lines and other dangerous debris.
