Big love to Calvary Evangelical Church! 🤍✨

This amazing team traveled from Ohio to serve with us in Nashville last June, and their impact is still being felt. 🙌

They worked in a low-income housing neighborhood, making repairs and bettering the community—living out what it means to love your neighbor. 🛠️💛 They also poured their time and hearts into tutoring students, building confidence and skills for a brighter future. 📚✨

One of the highlights? They built a beautiful new deck for Mrs. Queen, an 81-year-old woman with a heart full of gratitude. She was absolutely blown away that it was done free of charge and couldn’t stop sharing the news with her friends and family! 💬💞 Listening to her life stories and blessing her in this way was unforgettable. 🌟

Last June, this incredible team traveled all the way to Guatemala, and wow, did they make an impact! 💛

They built three homes 🏠 for families in need, creating a safe and loving environment for generations to come. But they didn’t stop there! They spent time playing with the local kids, filling their days with joy and laughter—memories that will stay with them for years. 🥰🎈

And as if that wasn’t enough, they also delivered meals to those in need, sharing not just food, but the love of Christ with every family they met. 🍽️🙏

We love partnering with LifePoint Church year after year, and this year was no exception! 🙌

This year, LifePoint served with us on two incredible trips—Guatemala and Costa Rica. ❤️

In Guatemala, the team built two homes for families in need, providing them with a safe place to live. 🏠 They also hosted a medical clinic, where over 340 patients received care, and the team had the privilege of praying with many more. 🙏

In Costa Rica, they worked alongside a local ministry focused on serving children and empowering the community. 🌍

LifePoint, you continue to be the hands and feet of Christ, and we are so grateful for the love and service you’ve shown to those in need. We can’t wait to serve with you again!

What an honor it was to partner with Waterfront Community Church in Nashville this summer! 🙌

From day one, their love for one another and the Nashville community was evident. 💖 This incredible team worked tirelessly on home repairs, creating safe and welcoming spaces for families in need. They poured into the lives of kids in the neighborhood, and served at a local food pantry.🛠️🏡🍽️

Even with all the hard work, they never stopped smiling, truly becoming the hands and feet of Christ wherever they went. 🙏 We are beyond grateful for their heart for service and the way they’ve impacted Nashville.

This past summer, a team from the small but mighty town of Archbold, Ohio, made a big impact here in Nashville! ✨❤️

With hearts full of compassion, they worked in a low-income housing neighborhood, helping with home repairs that brought fresh life to these spaces and much-needed support to the families living there. 🏠💪

They also partnered with a local ministry dedicated to holistic transformation—helping those in need make spiritual, financial, physical, and emotional progress. Together, they spread the love of Christ in powerful and practical ways. 🙌✨

🏠 For over a decade, Mission Discovery has brought American volunteers to Guatemala to build homes for families in desperate conditions.

🌟 Now, through ChapinServe, we’re empowering Guatemalans to serve their own people by:🏡 Building homes🍎 Delivering food 🙏 Praying for their neighbors

But we know the best type of leader for this program is a local Christian. ❤️

One of our longtime ministry partners feels God calling him to do even more. He’s ready to step away from his full-time job—a job that provides security—and dedicate himself fully to leading ChapinServe.

✨ This isn’t just a career change; it’s a leap of faith. He will: coordinate local mission trips, mentor volunteers, and pour into his community in ways that will transform countless lives

But he can’t take this step alone. To make this possible, we need to raise $12,000 to fund his first year of ministry.

As believers, we trust in the truth that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask, think, or imagine. We know these funds can be raised in this one special day!

For over a decade, we’ve been blessed to take American volunteers to Guatemala to build homes for families living in desperate conditions.

BUT NOW…

It’s time to take this ministry to the next level.

We’re expanding through our new program: ChapinServe! 🎉

Through ChapinServe, we’re partnering with a local ministry in Guatemala to empower Guatemalans to serve their own communities. Just like we gather mission teams to serve in Guatemala, they will gather local volunteers to:�🏠 Build homes�🍎 Deliver food�🙏 Pray for their neighbors

For many of these volunteers, this is the first time they’ve had the opportunity to serve in such a powerful way.

Take Valerie’s story. 🌟 Years ago, her family received a home through Mission Discovery, and it changed their lives forever. That home brought stability and hope, allowing them to dream of a brighter future.

Fast forward to this year: Valerie joined ChapinServe. She stepped up to give back, working alongside other volunteers to build a home for another family in need.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re aiming to raise $12,000 in ONE DAY to create more stories like Valerie’s.

We were so blessed to have the Christian Student Center from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga join us on their mission trip to Costa Rica this past May! 🙌🌍

This incredible group of students poured their hearts into serving the children of Costa Rica. Together, we renovated playgrounds, created a beautiful mural, and formed meaningful connections with the children at a local ministry. 💪❤️

It was amazing to see the energy, joy, and impact that this team brought to Costa Rica, and we would absolutely love to have the Christian Student Center serve with us again next year! 🙏✨

This past March, a dedicated team from Iowa joined us in Bluefield, West Virginia, to partner with a local church and make a lasting difference.

This incredible group completed 6 construction projects 🛠️ for community members in need. Through their hard work and servant hearts, they shared the love of Christ in powerful, tangible ways.

They also hosted an amazing block party, complete with face painting 🎨, grilling 🍔, and heartfelt prayers for the community. 💕 The event was more than just fun—it was an opportunity to help neighbors connect with the church and discover a place to belong. 🙌

We’re so inspired by this team’s service and how they created a ripple effect of hope and connection in Bluefield. 💫

✨ Every year, this amazing school brings their 8th graders to serve with us in Nashville, and we’re always blown away by their servant hearts. ✨

These students may be young, but last week, they made a lasting impact on our Nashville community—pouring their energy, kindness, and enthusiasm into each project. 💪💙

From helping renovate homes for families in low-income neighborhoods to sorting donations that will go directly to those in need, their work is creating real change and hope for the future. 💫

This month, our team in Puerto Rico helped organize toys for children across the island and beyond. What started 15 years ago with delivering toys to hospitals has grown into a mission spreading Christmas joy throughout Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. 🎁❤️

The team also worked hard moving building materials, helping with concrete work, and preparing homes for new flooring. They delivered groceries to four families, prayed with them, and rejoiced as one young boy gave his life to Christ. 🙏

God is using these small acts of service to make a lasting impact. We’re thankful for their dedication to serving others in His name.

Immediately after a disaster like this, we get an overwhelming response from people who want to jump in and serve right there, right now. But we have a request that may seem odd...

Let’s wait. And here’s why...

Disaster relief can be broken down into four stages: Relief, Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Development.

Mission Discovery has a hyper-focus on rehabilitation and development, and that’s because of a very intentional reason...

We are so grateful for the first responders and everyone who is diligently ensuring that the initial needs are met in these communities. Please continue to give to these organizations. Please continue to pray. 🙏

But when the first responders leave, and the news dies down, these communities are afraid they will be forgotten. Here’s what one disaster victim asked:

“We have so many people who are supporting us right now, but what is going to happen in a couple of months when the press isn’t as excited about what’s going on?”

Here’s our answer...

As soon as we heard about this disaster, we began preparing to bring teams.

Not to serve right now—but to serve months from now.

In spring 2025, we will be bringing mission teams to help rehabilitate and develop these communities, long after the news has moved on.

God is not going to forget about these communities, and neither are we. 💖

This past spring, we had the privilege of serving alongside an incredible team from Fayetteville, Arkansas, who made a lasting impact during their time in Nashville, TN. 💪

They built a much-needed wheelchair ramp for a woman who had been struggling to enter her home, providing her with newfound independence. 🏡 They also helped a local church clear out their flood-damaged basement, bringing hope and restoration to their community. 🙌 The team poured their hearts into serving at a benevolence center, which provides daily meals to the homeless and elderly in Madison, TN. 🍲 And they worked tirelessly sorting clothing donations for an organization that supports the greater Nashville area. 👕

Despite all their hard work, they still found moments of joy—like perfecting the ultimate PB&J ratio! 🥪 But what stood out most was the love of Christ they shared with every person they encountered. Their servant hearts and the kindness they showed were truly inspiring. ❤️

We’re already looking forward to partnering with this amazing group again in 2025! 🙏

🎉 Huge shoutout to the Aggie Men’s Club! 🎉

This incredible group of 28 college guys joined us in March and made an unforgettable impact by building 3 houses in just 4 days! 🏠🏠🏠

Every morning started with heartfelt devotions, and every evening was filled with reflections that showed their deep faith and love for Jesus. ✝️❤️

Seeing their bond grow stronger and their hearts open wider as they served was such a blessing to witness. 🙏

We can’t wait to see the Aggies back in 2025, bringing their energy, passion, and servant hearts with them! 💪🔥

This is going to melt your heart: when our mission team boarded their flight to Guatemala this summer, they packed a little something extra in their bags. ❤️

They brought Spanish versions of the History of Jesus to share with the children of Antigua. These books became treasures for the children, who gathered eagerly in the streets to listen to Bible stories. 🌍✨

The pure joy on their faces when they learned they could take these books home was indescribable. And when we handed some of these books to the mothers, their excitement and empowerment to share Christ with their children was truly moving. 💕

The most incredible part? Four children decided to give their lives to Christ on this trip. 🙏 Praise God!!

On our mission trips, we encourage you to get interrupted. Yes, that's right. Get interrupted. ❤️

When you look at the life of Jesus, He allowed Himself to be interrupted in big ways.

In John 8, Jesus was interrupted from preaching to go heal Jairus's daughter. On the way to heal her, He was interrupted AGAIN to heal a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years.

Jesus didn’t say, “Actually, that wasn’t my plan for right now.” Instead, Jesus welcomed the interruptions to provide compassion, love, and healing. 🌍✨

So, yeah. On our trips, we aren’t afraid to be interrupted—we embrace interruptions as opportunities to glorify God. Even if that means putting down the hammer and nails to go dance and play with a little girl in the street.
