In its original state, this area had a door leading to a storage shed, instead of the present window. The old siding was vertical and in poor condition. The decision was made to transform the space into an additional bathroom connected to the bedroom. The renovation has yielded a notable improvement in appearance, although the original photos were inadvertently deleted.

Talk about a variety of siding. This house has a cinderblock foundation on 1st level but on the 2nd level there was hardie on one side, asbestos shingles on 2 sides, vinyl siding over original wood on the front side. Crazy mishmash. Removed the hardie and went back to shingles on the 2 sides and the rear facing the alley. On the front, we patched and repaired the wood as that would have been what was there when it was built. Lot of water damage in the walls and from the roof.

New old windows going back in to match the rest of the house. Say goodbye to bad 80's replacement windows and hello to wood ones.

Newest project ended up needing a new foundation so we decided to also pour a slab underneath for 2 cars to park and a laundry room. At one point there was an apartment under part of the home with a brick floor. Seems crazy but garage space is not common on the island. Been here 25 years and never had one amd none of our properties have one either. Island life!

Normally a huge fan of keeping what can be saved, but..... in this case, the kitchen sink it's passed being saved, the city mandates low flow commodes and the tub has a chunk of the top missing in the corner. Love the tile surround but clearly was before showers were common. Since we are putting in a shower,we are removing the tile as well. May see if we can find a way to reuse, check back later. # #1940's

Time flies so fast, but this is my next project house. Bought from another flipper and has been vacant for quite some time(years). It's currently a 1-1 just over 800 sq ft with a monstrous garage and, at some point, a lower apartment that has seen better days. Going to need everything but that is just how I like them. Will post updates as we are already well into the reno.
