After Hurricane Beryl barreled through Texas and left destruction and a mess to clean up! I’m happy to say that Our Happy Place weathered the storm amazingly! Pointe West Beach Resort grounds are already starting the clean up process and should be up and running for your beach getaway soon! Who doesn’t need a beach getaway after this week! 🏖️☀️🌊 God really put on a show tonight with a beautiful sunset 🌅 and rainbow 🌈 at the same time!

🎆🎇July 4th fireworks in Galveston and all the details you need! 🎆🎇

We’re ready for another fun and safe Independence Day celebration on Galveston Island!

With the beach as the backdrop, there is no better place to celebrate Independence Day and summer with a parade and fireworks show.

The annual 4th of July Seawall parade will kick off on Thursday, July 4 at 6 p.m. with fireworks to follow at approximately 9:15 p.m. from the 37th Street and Seawall jetty. The parade is sponsored by the Galveston Firefighters Children’s Parade Krewe and will feature a wide array of floats. The parade line-up and route will start at 22nd Street and Seawall Blvd. It will proceed west and end at 45th and Seawall.

Traffic on Seawall Blvd will be detoured northbound at 19th Street and northbound at 53rd Street from Seawall. Seawall Blvd will reopen as the final elements of the parade pass westbound.
The following lane closures for the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. and reopen at 8:30 p.m.

• 22nd Street (Seawall to Avenue P) Line-up Area
• Seawall (19th to 22nd Street) Line-up Area
• Seawall Blvd from 22nd to 53rd Street Parade Route

The City of Galveston is excited to sponsor this year’s fireworks show. This is the second year the City of Galveston has hosted the fireworks display and we’ve worked closely with the company to fine-tune the event.

The fireworks display will follow the parade, beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m. from 37th Street and Seawall. The fireworks display will be broadcast online with accompanying music. To listen to the fireworks music, download the free app Pyrocast and enter code 8JUV to access Galveston’s show. Through this app, you will hear announcements about the start of the show and the accompanying music.

Just the last couple days and some fun we have had… We went on the ferry! Parked and walked on because we didn’t want to get into a long line to get back! No dolphins for us but, it very common to see them! There is a dolphin cruise right there if you want to venture out more! We visited Katie’s seafood house, amazing seafood! Pick up some shrimp and redfish from their market you will not be disappointed!

Learning to fish 🐠 in the pond right by the condo! Did you know we have several fishing poles to try out our fishing pond! This one was was excited that she matched her favorite Barbie house that she plans to buy “when she has some $$$” 😂

After the crazy storms rolled through this morning… it still turned out to be an amazingly beautiful day at Our Happy Place! ☀️So, we headed to the beach club for a swim, some pool side drinks and SOS’s amazing margarita pizza!

We were hard at work at “Our Happy Place” this weekend! We call this our “Entertainment Storage!” Everything you need to keep kiddos and adults entertained on or off the beach!🏖️ Fishing poles & tackle for the stocked pond next to the condo. Basketball and pickleball sets for the courts. Then “all the things” for an amazing day at the beach!🏖️

This is our amazing restaurant/bar at the Pointe West Beach Club! 🍽️ Delicious food, great views, and friendly staff. Highly recommend checking it out when you're in the area! You can also do a pick up order and enjoy your meal on the balcony enjoying the beautiful sunset! 🌅
