🚨 Port Update 🚨

Parking and street problems were resolved today, and the barricades have been moved!

Yesterday, Captain Bo and the New Buccaneer made a successful 12-hour deep sea trip, landing a limit of red snapper along with 318 vermillion snapper, 5 lane snapper, and 3 scamp grouper.

AM and PM bay trips on the Cavalier saw continued nice catches of bonnethead sharks. 🎣🦈

🚨 Important Update 🚨

We have a significant issue with the Port, as they're closing the 17th Street entrance to Pier 19 and restricting access to part of the parking lot. A meeting was held at 10 AM to discuss these changes. Stay tuned for updates on our site regarding new directions and parking options!

In other news, the New Buccaneer had a fantastic day of deep sea fishing, landing a boat limit of red snapper along with 282 vermillion snapper, 3 scamp grouper, and a mangrove snapper. Bay fishing on the Cavalier has also seen a huge uptick, with lots of sharp nose sharks being caught. 🎣🦈

Hey everyone: today, for reasons unknown, the Port of Galveston erected concrete barriers to block access to Pier 19 from 17th Street. This also eliminates access to a section of the parking lot. At this moment, the area can only be accessed via 20th street and parking is more limited than before. Until this mess is resolved, assuming it is, please enter via 20th Street and consolidate rides for parking as much as possible.

UPDATE: The road is back open as of the afternoon of August 7, but for how long in unknown. The Port promises a meeting ahead of time when cruise terminal construction at Pier 16 will prompt another road closure.

Over the past several days, Captain Bo on the Cavalier has been busy with bay trips, an 8-hour, and a 12-hour offshore trip. Meanwhile, Capt. Danny on the New Buccaneer has been focusing on 12-hour deep sea trips. We've been landing daily limits of red snapper on the 12-hour trips, and even the 8-hour trip brought in a great haul with a limit of red snapper. On August 3rd, Capt. Danny had an exceptional day with 215 vermillion snapper, 15 scamp grouper, and a boat limit of red snapper. The Cavalier's bay trips have also been exciting, with several sharks caught and safely released. Join us for an unforgettable fishing experience! 🦈🐟

🚤🎣 What a fantastic weekend of fishing! On Saturday, the New Buccaneer with Capt. Danny hauled in 164 red snapper, while Capt. Bo on the Cavalier's private 8-hour charter brought in 31 red snapper, along with a mix of spadefish, gafftop, and blue runners.

Sunday saw the New Buccaneer land a limit of 84 red snapper and 89 vermillion snapper on a half-capacity trip. The Cavalier's 12-hour trip was a success, bringing in 138 red snapper, 160 vermillion snapper, and 4 lane snapper.

Monday was another great day with the New Buccaneer landing 198 red snapper and 142 vermillion snapper.

Yesterday, Captain Bo and 64 anglers had an amazing 12-hour deep sea trip on the New Buccaneer, returning with 128 red snapper (boat limit), 33 vermillion snapper, 1 rock hind grouper, 1 cobia, 4 barracuda, 2 African pompano, and a large blacktip shark. Join us for your next fishing adventure! 🎣🐟

🌧️ Despite the rain, the New Buccaneer with Capt Danny and the Cavalier with Capt Bo made successful 12-hour deep sea trips! 🌊 The New Buccaneer followed the normal 12-hour trip, while the Cavalier took a half-capacity trip, offering fewer customers and more space. Both boats landed limits of red snapper and some vermillion snapper, with the Cavalier bringing in an exceptional catch of very nice red snapper. 🐟

🚤 On Wednesday, both the New Buccaneer with Captain Danny and the Cavalier with Captain Bo made 12-hour deep sea trips, each landing boat limits of red snapper. The Cavalier also brought in 22 vermillion snapper, while the New Buccaneer hauled in 93 vermillion.

On Thursday, Captain Bo ran the New Buccaneer and returned with another boat limit of red snapper, plus 76 vermillion snapper, 5 sharks, 2 great barracuda, and a red hind grouper! 🐟

🌊 After surviving Beryl, we're back on the water! The Cavalier made a 4-hour bay trip and an 8-hour offshore trip, while the New Buccaneer did a 12-hour trip. Both trips had great catches of red snapper, with the New Buccaneer hitting its limit! The Cavalier hauled in 28 red snapper, 84 spadefish, and 14 lane snapper. 🎣🐟

Hello everyone. Here is an update on what is going on. Much of Galveston, including Pier 19, has no power. The office is not open and the phones are not working. The July 10th trips are cancelled but we hope to make the 11th and beyond. We are asking for patience as all staff is without power as well as the office. Internet is shaky. If we have to cancel trips, we will send emails stating such. If you want to cancel as you have storm damage or hotel has no power, etc, please email at [email protected] or [email protected]. Please tell us the name on the reservations the day/type of trip.

We know this is all a big hassle right now and we are trying to work through it. If you send a request other than email we may not see it to answer.

We hope everyone is okay with no damage but from the emails we have received there are a lot of customers suffering from this Hurricane. We wish all the best and please be patient with us on working through this mess.

It's Snapper SZN! The New Buccaneer with Captain Danny made 12-hour trips on both July 3 and July 4. Limits were landed on both trips totaling 196 red snapper and 201 vermillion snapper on the 3rd and 192 red snapper and 84 vermillion on the 4th.

In addition, the Cavalier with Captain Bo also made a 12 hour deep sea trip on the 3rd and returned with a nice limit of red snapper (128) along with 32 vermillion snapper, 10 lane snapper, 12 blue runner, one pinfish and one grasby.

🌊🚤 Captain Danny and the New Buccaneer have been on fire! 🎣🐟 On June 28, we landed a boat limit of 182 red snapper. We snagged limits again on June 29 and July 1st. Due to expected offshore weather, we skipped a trip on June 30. But on July 2, we came back strong with 196 red snapper and 30 vermillion snapper! 🌟

Great start to the 2024 red snapper season! Both the New Buccaneer and Cavalier caught their bag limits last weekend. The Cavalier with Captain Bo Steber landed an impressive 103 vermillion snapper on Saturday. Can't wait for more exciting fishing days ahead! 🎣

Weather uncertainty has prompted the cancellation of the Monday, June 3 deep sea trip. This may not be the only deep sea cancellations this week as the forecast is not the best as this time for Tuesday and Wednesday. We will send notices of cancellations first by email and then call so if you have a trip upcoming please monitor the email and phone number you provided with your reservations. At this point only the June 3rd trip is cancelled for certain.

Rare killer whale sighting from the New Buccaneer’s 30-hour trip today! These beautiful creatures put on quite the show - enjoy!

Meet Galveston Party Boats

This fine citizen stole two ice chests from the bed of a customers truck on Sunday morning. He drove through the parking lot several time then pulled in to the parking spot next to the truck with the chests in the bed. The thief sits in his truck for a while, gets out, lowers his tailgate, changes shirts a eventually takes two 120 qt coolers from the bed of the truck next to his and then drives away. Skip to about 10:10 to see the actual thief in action.

August 6th New Buccaneer 12 hour trip. The boat came in with 631 vermillion snapper and 54 king mackerel.

Here is another video from a few days ago with a big sandbar shark on the line. The only issue is our intrepid drone pilot bailed out on the video before the shark broke the surface. It was released as sandbar sharks cannot be landed.

We have had a drone for a while but no one to fly it (with any confidence). We now have a 15 year old pilot, so here is a short clip of the Cavalier under way. We're still learning the drone thing
