Hello friends,
Most of my connections know that I have a heart for horses but was not always able to find the time to feed that passion. Last year, I was in a mentoring program at work and was advised to build a life plan. I had never really thought about a life plan…I was very focused on career and family, in the moment, but a life plan was a brand new concept to me. I was encouraged to be bold and think outside the box. In doing this, I found myself really missing my four legged friends and the peace that comes with being present in their presence.
Soon after moving to Murrells Inlet, I was driving along a highway and spotted a billboard for The Barnabas Horse Foundation so I emailed the founder, Susan McKinney and was fortunate enough to become a part of The Barnabas Horse Foundation.

The herd is 27 horses string and includes bigs and littles. Our horses work with people who have experienced trauma and suffer from the long lasting impact including .
Barnabas is a nonprofit organization funded primarily through grants and donations. As we kick off National Mental Health Awareness month we are partnering with Seen Through Horses to raise funds to help horses within 55 nonprofits like Barnabas. This money will help expand access to programs incorporating horses for mental health and personal growth.
I appreciate your taking a minute to read my post, please consider donating or sharing.
