Welcome to the Bear Lake Valley, a beautiful rural, historical and recreational setting shared by Bear Lake County in the southeast corner of Idaho, and Rich County in the northeast corner of Utah. The crown jewel is Bear Lake, a large scenic lake often called "Caribbean of the Rockies" for its intense turquoise blue water. As visitors catch their first glimpse of the lake, they marvel at its color and wonder what makes the lake so blue. Sitting on one of its many white, sandy beaches, you can imagine yourself on your own little island. However, that’s not all we have here.
In the spring you have the opportunity to see beautiful run-off, through Logan canyon, of the snow from the winter melting. We have great activities such as Horseback Riding, Cave exploring, picnics and more!
With summer, we are presented with the opening of many big attractions. Memorial Day weekend brings the opening of many local businesses! Our Paris Tabernacle in Paris, Idaho is opened for tours as well as the home of Wilford Woodruff right out of Randolph, Ut. We have attractions such as Minnetonka Cave in St. Charles, Idaho. We cant forget our entertainment over at the Pickleville Playhouse in Garden City, Utah. Along with all these great attractions, we cant forget how beautiful Bear Lake is and the many access points for the beach! Don’t miss our Raspberry days the first weekend of August. Join in the fun of craft booths, a parade, the rodeo, and more! Be sure that with your stay here you don’t forget to stop in and grab a Famous Raspberry Shake from one of our many amazing shake shops. Whether you enjoy some nice soft icecream, or prefer hard icecream in shakes, Garden City local shops offer both! Don’t forget our fun trails, great dining, wonderful lodging and camping experiences.
As summer comes to an end and Labor day brings in the fall, most of our attractions close down. However, that doesn’t mean the fun is over! Our ATV trails are still open from spring along with camping and Wonderful wildlife exploring!
