Before I left for SIU with my grandsons on Sunday I got to meet a couple from New York at The Shop. Then our way to Carbondale I took a detour along Rt 66 with Cade and Cree to Funks Grove, McLean and Atlanta, Illinois. Then today I met two young ladies from Germany and two brothers from Florida and California at The Shop.

Today was Zip Code day in Gardner! Our zip code is 60424 and today's date is 6-04-24. So a great group of folks from our town put together a great small town celebration for young and old this evening and everyone had a great time. Well, Karen and I are back from Las Vegas and while we're gone my son Todd was able to open The Shop a few times. While he was there, he visited with traveler's from Virginia, Indiana, Canada and Poland. Also a big thanks to Todd for repainting our Coca-Cola sign (I stopped at The Shop) and my DIL Mandi for cutting the grass while I was gone.
