Special treat for you on the shelf at JP Market, Hwy 71, Ridge Runners, Moccasin Junction, Midway Market, Gate City Market at the Quarry pond and Revolutionary Market in Hiltons. Thank you to each and every one that has supported us this year and we just realized, It's our birthday, 4 years ago we started this crazy journey and there have been great times and rough times. Details for the Appalachian Harvest Food Boxes that will be distributed in Duffield on Friday (December 13) - Please remember to stay in your vehicles - we will load the box for you!
Pickup time: 10-12 (Sometimes we run out sooner)
Place: Appalachian Harvest Food Hub, 280 Boone Trail Road, Duffield, VA.
Details: The boxes are free to anyone who needs food. You don't have to pre-register or sign up, just pull into the car line, stay in your car, and we will load your box for you.
Contents: veggies, milk, fruit, and pork. That's right, we have pork! All of these items are sourced from area growers and producers! ❤🍑🍶🚜

Make sure you check out their wide selections of meats, poultry, pork, and more available for you to purchase!

Jake Hubbard has herds of hogs, sheep and cattle and a flock of chickens, but there’s no simple e-i-e-i-o to his farming operation.

The 21st Annual Papa Joe Smiddy Mountain MusisFest is coming up Labor Day Weekend. Come on down to Natural Tunnel State Park Amphitheater on Sunday, Sept. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. to hear some great music. The event features some great bands this year, but the annual highlight is when Dr. Frank Smiddy and the Reedy Creek Bank, along with the Papa Joe Smiddy family take the stage for a song or two. This year's performers include Fiddlin' Red and the Bluegrass Harvesters, Dan Carty's Basement Band (DCB), Empty Bottle String Band, and ETSU's Twin Taters old-time band. Admission to the event is free, but there is a $5 parking fee per car. Hope to see you there.
