❄️ WEATHER CLOSURE UPDATE ❄️

Due to inclement weather and related travel difficulties, Pigeon Forge City Offices are closed today, Friday, January 10.

Police, fire and ambulance emergency services will continue to operate. Pigeon Forge Mass Transit will not operate on January 10.

The street department will work to improve road conditions throughout this weather event. Everyone is encouraged to exercise caution and limit travel. Check back here for any additional updates! Stay safe!

🚧 Bridge Repairs & Renovations at The Old Mill 🚧

The bridge near The Old Mill will be closed & will undergo repairs beginning Monday, January 6, 2025, and The Old Mill restaurant is also closed for renovations as of Sunday, January 5, 2025.

We’ll keep you updated when both renovations on the restaurant and repairs are the bridge are complete and reopened.

In the meantime, the Pottery House Café and the remainder of The Old Mill District remain open and operating under normal business hours!

🚗 Alternate routes to visit while the bridge is closed for repairs:
-From Stoplight 7: Turn left on River Rd., return to the Parkway, and turn right at Stoplight 5.
-From Stoplight 5: Take Jake Thomas Rd. to Teaster Ln., then to Old Mill Ave.
-From Stoplight 8: Take Dollywood Ln. to Teaster Ln., then to Old Mill Ave.

The park closed US 441 Newfound Gap Rd at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, ahead of possible snow. If you're wondering why they would close the road so far in advance of a potential winter storm this weekend, it's because the mountains are already getting quite icy and snowy. The park also does not salt or treat the roads due to environmental reasons. Check out these shots from the Newfound Gap we**am (funded by your gifts to Friends) Friday at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. It may be almost 40 degrees and dry in Gatlinburg, but on the mountaintop it's 22 degrees with lots of frozen moisture from the clouds. The City of Gatlinburg is asking for help from our community for our neighbors in Cocke County, who are in great need after devastating flooding events on Friday.

The City is accepting donations at the Gatlinburg Fire Department until noon on Monday, September 30, and will deliver these items to the Cocke County Disaster Relief Distribution Center on Monday afternoon.

Current products accepted for donations include:
• Bottled Water
• Jugs of Water
• Disposable Paper Products (Paper Plates and Paper Towels)
• Disposable Plastic Products (Plastic spoons, forks, and knives)

Donations may be brought to Gatlinburg Fire Department Station No. 1, which is located at 1230 East Parkway in Gatlinburg.

Thank you for your help during this time of need for our neighbors.
