Our Story
When you are thinking about a mountain vacation, you think “Log Cabin”, tucked away in the beautiful forests of the Smoky Mountains. If so, you are thinking about Appalachian Dream Lodge! Location, Location! This beautiful cabin is made of actual hand hue logs placed just in the right spot to meet all your needs. The cabin sits just off Ski Mountain Road at 2,432 feet. If you want to take a hike with your family through the National Park, it is only a short drive away! If you are into winter sports, snow skiing or snowboarding again this cabin is just a few minutes, ½ mile from Oberg Gatlinburg. If your past time is shopping, downtown Gatlinburg with all its stores, restaurants and amenities is also just minutes away. If you want to enjoy the sites of Pigeon Forge, you can take the By Pass and within minutes, you are on the parkway going into Pigeon Forge with all its activities. Another amenity this cabin offers is access to Chalet Village Owners Club, which is, located just behind and within walking distance of the cabin with a large swimming pool, kids pool and tennis courts. We recommend you take your car around to gain access. The climb up to the clubhouse is steep. There is plenty of space for parking in front of the cabin for all your guests and a small yard for the kids to toss a freebie around. If you are lucky and it rains, the pitter-patter on the metal roof will lull you to sleep, mountain-style. During the day, you can sit outside on the covered porch, watch the comings and goings on the road below, and just enjoy the sounds of nature around you. If you are quiet, you may spot a mother bare wondering through area with her newly born cubs. Make sure you have your camera ready! The hot tub is located on the side porch and which covered and can be enjoyed in all weather. Inside, the exposed wood beams convey a woodsy theme, while leather sofas and large flat screen television gives today's discriminating traveler what they are looking for. Sit, relax, and enjoy cable access to Spectrum Silver Package with HBO, Show Time and with access to all those Sports Channels so that you do not miss any of those important games. The Cabin offers high-speed internet so you can remain connected or just turn your phone. There is a wood burning fireplace adding to your comfort on those cold evenings after your return from the slopes. Got kids? They will love the game table in the living room that is a combination of soccer and bocce ball but made for a tabletop. A reading nook tucked under the stairs provides a quiet respite for the reader in the group. A full bath sits off the hallway and has a second door into the queen bedroom. Across the hall from the bedroom is a private room with and a twin day bed. The stairway leading upstairs lands in the hallway between the two bedrooms (one king, one queen) that share a large bath with a shower.
