The Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, along with the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, is working with The City of Gatlinburg monitoring the Hatcher Mountain fire in Wears Valley, an outlying area of Sevier County, Tennessee.

The City of Gatlinburg has not been impacted. All roads, lodging, attractions, shopping, restaurants, and other businesses are open as usual. Events at the Gatlinburg Convention Center and Rocky Top Sports World are proceeding as scheduled.

Should conditions change, the Sevier County Emergency Management Agency utilizes the IPAWS emergency notification system to send public safety messages to mobile devices in any effected area of Sevier County.
