It is a designated American Viticultural Area that has the highest concentration of wineries in the state of Ohio, with the closest being just ½ mile away from our cottage, and dozens more beautiful wineries to the south. And breweries…And distilleries…

Less than 5 miles away, nostalgic Geneva-on-the-Lake embodies the excitement of yesteryear musings. Walking down The Strip takes you back several decades, with dozens of bars, restaurants, shops, live music offerings, and the must-see old-fashioned fun of Fascination, a cross between ski ball and bingo, which is surprising addictive and loads of affordable fun. You’ll be sure to have “Roll ‘em!” echoing in your mind for hours! Also, be sure to hunt down one of the last surviving and STILL operating 1930’s cast iron F.W. Mangel shooting galleries left in the world. We'll give you a hint if you want it.
