We went to Hydrate to order our favorite smoothies, and we spotted these beautiful art pieces on the wall 🖼
"These original watercolor paintings were created by Maru, a friend of the Hydrate family. All were created exclusively for Georgetown's Red Poppy Festival in 2022.
Maru is a self-trained artist and a disabled United States Air Force Veteran.
These one-of-a-kind paintings were inspired by the Poppy, featuring incredible detail and vibrant colors."

Tonight we met with Patrick O’Brien, the artist of the current exhibit at City Hall.
This exhibit is a culmination of images captured from several outdoor car shows here in Georgetown.
Patrick says, “I believe as the surrealist Rene Magritte, that too often we live our mundane lives looking at our world, yet not really seeing it for its strange and unique beauty. My visual transformations and abstractions are my interpretation of their beauty, both natural and unnatural.”
The show runs through the end of September.
