Delmarvalous Quilters focuses on education and community outreach. Show & Tell, Speakers, Sew Days Social time at 6:30.

Guild meets the Fourth Thursday of the month, January through October, at 7:00 P.M. Sew Days may begin at 9:00 on meeting days. No meeting in November (Thanksgiving) and holiday party in early December.

We had a clean-up day. We cut donated fabrics into usable sizes ready for kit-making or members needs. Clean up of piles and messes into organized boxes. Great idea and good conversations.

NEXT CLEAN-UP DAY: Wednesday. February 12, 10:00-2:00 at the clubhouse!

It's a come and go thing. Stay as long or as little as you can. Snacks welcome.

The big day has passed and we are quietly returning to the spirit of the season. The Delmarvalous December Holiday feast is always a fun time with food made by members and fried chicken from only the best places. It's our yearly treat to us.

Think about giving us a visit or, better yet, becoming a member. Beginners and experts are welcome. Or maybe you just want to learn about quilts. Room for everyone.

To share our joyful moments is a treat and what is more joyful than cookies at Christmas. When all else fails, sugar up! And so they did. Perhaps Santa might end up with one or two on his plate.

As with all the beautiful women of the world, we age. We have children who have no room in their homes for our collections or just have other interests and hobbies that occupy their space. They encourage and prod us to declutter, to donate where our "stuff" will be useful. Some very gently and considering. Blessed member cleared a bookshelf for this donation. So many of our new quilters are now enjoying books of pictures, patterns and instructions. Even the 4-H-ers took a peek. More than a few went home with those of us who still love the old masters. Thank you, JM.

The talented, decorator eye of Kaye Hearn turned the classroom into a circle splurge. Enjoy her finished projects of table runner and quilt as we create our own with a wide display of favorite fabrics. Some of us may even begin to like machine applique.

How was your FedEx delivery today? Drooling over my Art Gallery Fabrics color charts. I want each and every one. Won't happen but a girl can dream. Getting ready for my Modern Play class for Delmarvalous Quilters in January.

We've been awarded!! Friend of 4-H Award to Delmarvalous Quilters for 2024 from the Sussex County 4-H.

Presented Saturday at our last class for 4-H-ers learning to sew. Delmarvalous Quilters has supported 4-H since DQ's inception and they are most appreciative. Now, to find a good place for display.

What happens when you aren't looking? A day of class leads to dinner at a local pizzeria where late-comers are shifted to close booths. We then return to the clubhouse where a trunk show (pictures later) or another pleasure tickles our creativity. Always boosted by a light snack to top off our meal, we have more energy to demolish a FREE table, looking for bargains, fabric and notions we can't live without. It's a great resource for our newbie quilters.
