I am so excited to share that the Cozy Craft Nest is ready to welcome crafters. Reservations are being accepted for 2024 and 2025.
The Cozy Craft Nest is an un-hosted retreat house with a designated lead person from your group to act as host. This person is responsible for the booking, all communications with me and submission of all paperwork/payment. As the lead, you will collect the payments from the attendees and submit one check to me.
· There is a non-refundable $250 deposit required within 7 days of booking to hold your dates. Payment in full is required 45 days in advance of your arrival.
· As host, you will also be responsible for ensuring the house is left in good condition upon your departure and notify me immediately of any issues/damages.
ANSWERS TO MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW IS THE CROP ROOM SET UP?
· The crop room is equipped with 6’ tables for each crafter, comfy office chairs with lumbar support, side tables, table shelves and power supplies with USB ports included, as well as amazing lighting.
· For our paper crafters, you will find over 500 stamp sets, 170 ink pads, punches, die cuts, embossing folders, die cuts and so much more. Bring your consumables and use my supplies to craft the weekend away.
· The crop room is easily accessible by using the ramp onto the deck and rolling your goodies right in. NO STEPS! (There is even a wagon available for your use in moving you supplies in and out.)
· Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
HOW MANY BEDS AND BATHS ARE THERE?
· There are 2 bedrooms with 4 twin beds each and 2 full bathrooms. Linens are provided for the beds along with extra blankets. Guests bring their own towels and personal hygiene items. Hair dryers and curling irons are provided in each bathroom.
ARE THERE OTHER AMENITIES?
· There is a sitting room with couches, a recliner and chairs. A big screen TV with multiple streaming services is available in this room.
· A huge deck and a screened in porch flank the crop room on each side. Take advantage of one or both during the spring through fall months. Tables and chairs are provided.
· In the kitchen you will find a coffee station with a Keurig and K-cup variety, teas, sugars/sugar alternates and creamer, as well as an old-fashioned popcorn popper. Additionally, there is an air fryer, waffle maker, 4 slice toaster, 2 crockpots and a variety of pots and pans. The dining area off the kitchen seats 8.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
· Meals are not included, however there is a fully equipped kitchen and an additional refrigerator in the garage for bringing and preparing your food. You can also head into Gettysburg (7 miles)
and enjoy one of the many restaurants available.
HOW DO RENTALS WORK?
· Reservations are required and must be booked in advance. You have the option to have any number of attendees up to 8. You pay the full cost and divide among your friends to arrive at your final individual cost.
· A lead person is designated from your group to handle the booking, paper work and payment.
· Typical rentals are 3days/2 nights running Friday at 3:00 pm through Sunday at 6:00 pm.
· The cost for the weekend is $1,350.00 including tax, plus $150 cleaning fee for a total of $1,500.00.
· You have the option to arrive early, Thursday at 3:00 pm and/or extend until Monday at 3:00 pm. Additional cost is $35.00 per person, with a 3 person minimum, for each option.
· If you need to cancel your reservations and notify us prior to 60 days before your scheduled event, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between 45-60 days before your event, you will receive a refund of half of the money, less the deposit. If you cancel less than 45 days prior to your event, there will be no refund, but I will keep you paid balance (less the deposit) for up to 6 months to apply to a stay during that period. If you do not rebook within the 6 months, the monies paid are forfeited in total.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A GROUP? CAN I COME TO THE COZY CRAFT NEST?
· The Cozy Craft Nest offers open craft days several times throughout the month. The hours for the event are 9:00 am – 8:00pm and the cost is $20.00 for the day. Meals are on your own.
· We also offer weekend retreats a few times throughout the year. These are usually “No Frills” retreats and run Friday afternoons at 3:00 pm through Sunday at 6:00 pm. We would love to have you join us and make new crafty friends.
