โ๏ธ๐ This weekend is shaping up to be a snowy one! If you're in the path of the storm, please stay safe and take all necessary precautions. โ๏ธ
For those planning to visit Gettysburg, remember to take it easy on the roads. We'll be here for ghost tours, ready to share the haunted history and stories of the Jennie wade house and the orphanage.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, safely! ๐โ๏ธ๐ฐ
Good evening,
Here is my 1st thoughts for THIS week.
Generally, I do think this will be a minor event for most.
HIGHER ELEVATIONS WILL DO BETTER THAN THE VALLEYS
Please read below to find your area:
Western PA and lower elevations of WV: (Pittsburgh, Erie, Charleston): Snow showers are likely with a dusting for most areas, closer to the mountains a few inches are possible.
South Central PA: (Harrisburg, York, Lancaster ect): Rain will be the main precip type. As the colder air rushes in a changeover for a few hours is possible, and a dusting at max could occur, tho most areas won't see any accumulations.
SE PA/NJ/DE/MD: (Baltimore, Philly, NYC, DC): All Rain, perhaps a flurry. NO accumulations
NE PA & North Central Pa: (Scranton, Williamsport, Mt. Pocono) Rain to begin, changing to snow. As the low retrogrades back south, a steady period of snow is likely. How far south this makes it is still TBD. Accumulations are likely on the colder surfaces (grass, tables ect.). higher elevations could see more, while the valleys could see just a coating.
WV higher mountains: Heavy wet snow is expected, plus the combination of wind gusts up to 50 mph could lead to BLIZZARD like conditions at time. Travel will NOT be advised in this area. I did go on the lower side of guidance for now in this area, and the potential for higher amounts is there.
VA: (Richmond, VA beach ect).: All Rain
