Tour Boat Deckhand Opening, Part Time Summer Only for Destiny Harbor Tours and Riviera Cruises. Go on a boat ride each day that you work on our federally certified passenger boats. It’s a very cool job. $15.74 per hour. Ages 15 and older may apply. We will have some shifts going into the end of October, yet working these is not a requirement to apply. We pay for your required drug testing. Drugs tested for include illegal drugs and Ma*****na for our business. We provide a company polo shirt and hat. Boating experience is a plus but not required. We provide on-the-job training. Duties include assuring the safety of passengers and crew. Tying up the boat and helping passengers onto and off-of the boat. Keeping watch and steering the boat under the captain’s direction. Following the captain’s directions. Basic cleaning of boat, sweeping, wiping down and taking the trash out. This was a good one you don't see every day. Capt. Ethan, Ken and JJ were taking fans from ferry "TREK" at UW Husky game this season. It's a tricky landing and the ferry is drifting! We can take 33 passengers at a time.

We had a good round of professional, preventative maintenance today on both "DESTINY" and "MARITIME". A valve adjustment and new transmission coolers on both boats. Thanks to Thomas, Ben and Derek at Kraken Marine Services for their incredible depth of experience and friendly, efficient service. We have great equipment, this is how we keep it running great!

It's hard not to be excited when seeing the results of a visit by the ever friendly "PHOTOBOAT" with professional marine photographer Jan Anderson aboard while helmed by husband and professional mariner Skip Anderson. Jan lined-up this riveting action shot of "DESTINY" piloting at-speed toward the "Narrows Bridges Encounter" which is a foundational part of our daily sightseeing tour out of Gig Harbor. What a shot! "You've got to know the right people." Thank you Brad Franzen for this exciting and captivaing photo of "MARITIME" with Capt. Ethan Allen out with some winter sightseers to see the super crane ship arrive this week. They got even more as there was a line of ships inbound for the Port of Tacoma Tuesday when Brad took this shot from Brown's Point. Brilliant!

We offer private charters and public sightseeing tours. Some of the public trips are seasonal or to see something special, sometimes once-in-a-lifetime events like the super crane coming to Tacoma last week..
