I live in Gilroy, a small community in the south San Francisco Bay. I saw this news article this morning, and felt the need to share it, and give a loving shout out to our first responders, who put their lives on the line everyday. Not just our police officers, but also our firefighters, and paramedics.
I personally, have been rescued by them on more than one life threatening situation, and can’t thank them enough for their service.
I remember that on one occasion, while working in an ER south of Gilroy, the local PD and paramedics were involved in a gang shoot out and trying to rescue victims. We don’t always hear of these brave acts.
They never know what they are walking into when someone calls 911.
My heart feels the sadness, and goes out to the families for the loss of these 2 officers, and the paramedic, and to anyone who has lost one of our brave heroes.
