We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Wrangler and Horse Trail Guide for Spring/Summer/Fall Programing to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with horses and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others. As a Wrangler, you will be responsible for guiding trail rides, running lesson programs, training young horses, caring for the horses, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. This position requires a strong understanding of equine care, as well as the ability to operate various types of professional environments
Duties
• Lead guided horse trail rides for groups of varying skill levels, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Provide instruction on horseback riding techniques and horse handling to participants.
• Care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and maintaining their overall health.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities, including loading and unloading feed, cleaning stalls, cleaning water troughs and paddocks
• Assist with special events, lessons, and standard cleaning of office & tack rooms
• Conducted basic repairs on equipment and ensured all saddles and tacks were in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
• Strong equine knowledge and experience in handling horses.
• Proficiency in public speaking, public relations, and western dress style.
• Equine and western riding knowledge to ride horses, teach, and assist with equipment repair.
• Basic math skills for managing supplies and inventory.
• Experience and ability to lift 50-pound feed bags
• Familiarity with public interactions and professional attitude & language
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Ability to time manage
• Ability to drive truck with gooseneck horse trailer
Qualifications
• Equine experience of at least 2 year
• Basic math skills
• Tack repair knowledge
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Ability to handle animals safely
• Previous experience in farm machinery operation
• Familiarity with animal care practices
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previously owning or working with horses
Job Type: Contract 1099
Pay: $15 Starting will vary with Horse skills and Knowledge
Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• Day and night shifts
• Holidays
• Open 7 days a week
