Ya está aquí el I Desafio Overtrails Adventure Ruta de las Bodegas y Camino de Santiago, el próximo 25 y 26 de mayo. Las inscripciones están abiertas para la Marcha Popular de 12 kms 🧑‍🦽 🚶🏃 y para Marcha Txiki de 5 kms, con salida y llegada desde el Polideportivo de Villatuerta y un amplio programa de Actividades 💚, que puedas disfrutar de un día o del fin de semana completo 🌈

El sábado por la mañana, de 09:30 a 14h, tendrás la oportunidad de conocer Tierra Estella y Tierras de Iranzu a través de una amplia oferta de visitas y actividades😀

Por la tarde, de 17:30 a 19:30h, en el Polideportivo de Villatuerta, acto de bienvenida y charlas informativas; Las Guerras Carlistas en Tierra Estella por Joseba Ocariz Besarte, Charla técnica de las Marchas Popular y Txiki por Julian Iantzi y Cata de Sales ecológicas de Salinas de Oro, pan artesano y degustación de vinos de las bodegas de Tierras de Iranzu con Charo Apesteguia

El domingo de 9 a 09:30h entrega de dorsales en el Polideportivo de Villatuerta y a las 09:30h salida de las Marchas. La Ribera, Huerta y Bardena es el último de los 6️⃣ eventos que componen el Desafío Overtrails.

📜 El Desafío transcurre por La Ribera de Navarra, un espacio abierto y llanura. Sol y rica huerta a orillas del Ebro 🏊 en contraste con el espacio semidesértico de las Bardenas Reales ☀️ declarado Reserva Natural de la Biosfera por la UNESCO 🌈 y que conforma el paisaje más característico de la Ribera de Navarra.

Siendo la misma Bardena, la Negra no tiene casi nada que ver “con su otra mitad”. La Bardena Blanca es más desértica e inhóspita y la que más fama ha conseguido, dejando a la “Negra” en un segundo plano, como la gran desconocida 💁‍♀️

Fustiñana se encuentra situada en un emplazamiento privilegiado, que la convierte en »La puerta de la Bardena negra» 🖼 Ablitas, habitado después de la reconquista de Tudela (1119), fue adscrito por Alfonso I el Batallador. Su Castillo está catalogado como Bien de Interés Cultural 🛕

Not the news that we were hoping for, but we still have next year to look forward to. Ongi izan, lagun maiteok!

As you know, we were hoping to celebrate Jaialdi with you this summer. But increasing infection rates and slow vaccine rollouts, both here and around the diaspora, mean that we must postpone Jaialdi again. Mark your calendars, though! Jaialdi 2022 will take place July 26-31, 2022.

We made this move to ensure the health of our local supporters and allow the safe travel of our friends and relatives from the Basque Country and beyond.

Tickets for Jaialdi 2022 will go on sale in early 2022. Most Jaialdi 2021 tickets have been refunded, so there’s no need to do anything but wait for the 2022 on-sale date, which we will publicize. (If you have Expo Idaho tickets, keep them — they will be valid for entry in 2022.) If you moved your hotel dates, please contact your hotel directly to make new arrangements.

Vendors and program book advertisers, please check your inbox next week for information on how to reschedule. We’re happy to answer any questions you might have.

We know that when we meet again we will have so much more to celebrate than during a typical Jaialdi year. We are so grateful for your ongoing support and can’t wait to welcome you to Boise in 2022. Until then, stay safe!

Dakizuenez, uda honetan zuekin Jaialdia ospatzeko asmoa genuen. Zoritxarrez, hemen eta diasporan jasaten ari garen kutsatze mailaren handitzeak eta txertoen hedapen motelak Jaialdia berriro ere atzeratu beharra dakarte ondorio bezala. Jaialdia 2022ko uztailaren 26tik 31ra ospatuko da, beraz zuen egutegietan idatzi ezazue elkarrekin jai egiteko hitzordu berria!

Hemengo gure laguntzaile eta jarraitzaileen osasuna babesteko hartu dugu erabaki hau, baita Euskal Herriko eta beste herrialdeetako lagun eta senideen bidaia segurua ahalbidetzeko ere.

The well-known Basque-Boisean cultural and professional promoter, Dan Ansotegui, will inaugurate a new proposal for a Basque imprint in the culinary world of Boise for July 15. The establishment is called 'Ansots' and will open at 560 W. Main St., downtown, near the Basque Block and will provide services on site, for takeout, as well as wholesale, for example chorizo and artisan loin, to other restaurants and supermarkets.

"Ansots Basque Chorizos and Catering" will be a kind of bistro and will respond to an unconventional restaurant format. Previously, Ansotegui had successfully launched various proposals in the field of Basque gastronomy and catering in Boise, such as the Bar Gernika (1991) and The Basque Market (1999), establishments that he later sold, returning for a while to his initial profession as a schoolteacher. In recent times he also was involved in Txikiteo (2018).

Dan Ansotegui is a well-known person in his Basque and American surroundings. Born in Boise, he speaks Basque perfectly and in his role as a musician has a number of achievements, he is a trikitilari and txistulari, founder and member of Basque groups such as Ordago, Gaupasa or Amuma Says No, founder and teacher of the Music School Txantxangorriak and promoter of numerous cultural initiatives. He has received several awards, including the National Heritage Fellow, the highest award in the US folk world, in 2019.
