Goddard Public Schools will not be in school on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to ongoing hazardous driving conditions.

City, County, and District crews are working tirelessly to clear roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks, and we offer our deepest appreciation to them for their dedicated efforts. Given the extent of snow/ice in neighborhoods across the District, additional time is needed to ensure a safe return to school.

We celebrated the end of the 2nd Quarter with fun rotations this morning! Students could choose from Bingo, basketball, yard games and making ornaments. Thank you to our teachers who organized and supervised!

Pride Pack will be selling Candy Cane Grams December 10-18 by the 6th grade doors before school. Each one is $1.00 (cash only, please) and can be sent to any student or staff member!

All of our 6th grade Social Studies classes spent the 2 weeks leading up to Fall Break wrapping up a unit in Ancient Egypt by making mummies. In ancient Egypt, mummified animals were placed in tombs with pharaohs for the afterlife. Each student used newspaper to make a paper mache base which was then wrapped in plaster to preserve their animal. They then placed their mummified animals in sarcophaguses to take home.

A huge thank you to Ms. Redfield, Ms. Thompson (Qualls) and Mr. Henson for their work on this project for our students. This was such a great way for the kids to learn about the mummification process!
