Glass float month (April) will be here before we know it. Part of the event is the receipt program. If shoppers spend $25 or more at an affiliated shop, they can bring their receipt to the Visitor Center and receive a free glass float. Looking for something fun to do outdoors on Thursday and Friday (Nov. 28 & 29)? We thought a glass float drop would brighten up the holiday. A limited amount of floats will be hidden at and above the vegetation line starting at the north side of the path at South Beach Park (aka the Gold Beach Visitor Center) for a few hundred feet. Please just take one float and leave the rest for others to enjoy the excitement.

Well that's a wrap for the Mobi-Mats this summer at South Beach Park. With higher waves in the forecast, we'd like to thank everyone who came to help get the mats rolled up and stored safely away for the winter season. We're looking forward to next spring when we can get them back out on our beach.

Many of you were asking about the storm on the weekend of Oct 14th. This was taken by a neighbor when he felt safe enough to peek out his front door! Amazing that we had no damage with the high wind, rain, and massive waves!
