Thank you for your interest in our beautiful house in Gold Canyon, Arizona. For us, this house is a retreat for relaxation and elegant simplicity. When you enter the house, you will see and feel the openness of the space – 10 ft ceilings and the conscious avoidance of too much “stuff” makes the house easy to live in; easy to relax and breathe in. Our favourite room is the huge master bedroom with
its king size white bed frame and new pillow top mattress - super comfortable! The carefully chosen wall colour (Italian blue) makes the space an ideal place to sleep or read. The room has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity, as well as a walk-in closet. The second bedroom is a bit smaller than the master, but is just as welcoming and comfortable. We call it the “Yellow Room” for the colour of the walls which was chosen for its warmth. There is a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and a large closet. The third bedroom is used as a den, with a small glass desk and leather Euro Lounger (convertible sofa bed). It’s a great space to read, pray, meditate, stretch or do yoga, especially in the morning when there is a wonderful view of the sunrise over Superstition Mountain. The large main bathroom has an Aerofeel bath tub with electronic controls to adjust the temperature, speed of the jets, and the colour of the lights in the water. The open concept kitchen is outfitted with new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and is equipped with everything you would need to cook and bake. The kitchen opens out into the open plan living and dining area, which has a 50" TV, Smart Blu-Ray DVD player, comfortable leather sofa, and dining table with six soft chairs to enjoy your meals. We truly believe that you will love our private backyard, which faces the desert wash, where many kinds of cactuses, trees and bushes grow. The backyard overlooks a gorgeous golf course at the foothills of magnificent Superstition Mountain and also has views of Dinosaur Mountain. There are many different kinds of birds and wild animals that you can enjoy watching from the safety of the backyard. We have a Pebble Tec pool which is not heated, so it may be too cold for swimming during some winter days. However, when it’s too cold to swim, you can still enjoy the sound of the water flowing over the waterfall as you relax outside. We have a BBQ and patio furniture so you can enjoy dining al fresco. Gold Canyon is truly a gem! It allows you to experience living in serenity and wilderness while being so close to the Phoenix metropolitan area. Highway 60 takes you straight from Gold Canyon to the Phoenix airport (45 min drive). There are plenty of things to enjoy locally, from golfing (Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is rated top 10 in North America), hiking (many trails close to the house), birds watching, stars gazing during crystal clear nights, gardening, swimming and exercising, biking (we have two bikes in our garage), shopping, and taking part in a number of locally organized activities and events.
