Had a great flight Tuesday and was able to make an approach and land at Art Eby RC Field east of Millersburg. Weather this year has been undependable and it was nice to finally get a good evening for ballooning. I am hoping for good weather in August.

Balloon rids are $325 per person. Our basket will carry 625 lb of passenger weight, up to 4 people. We have gift certificates available for special occassions.

Our flying season is done for 2022. We expect to begin again June of 2023. We will be in flying in the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta with 8-900 other balloons October 1 - 9. It should be a special year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event.

WNDU 16 news had a great clip of the Friday evening flight of 10 balloons at the Elkhart Co. 4H Fair. It has been a great honor & a pleasure to have been a part of the best county fair in Indiana the last 34 years.

Want to get paid to help with the balloon flights or work toward a free ride? We need additional balloon crew. 2 1/2 hours per flight, the work requires the ability to move quickly, occassional lifting of upto 75lb., and a fun loving attitude. Call Gene at 574-536-8043 if you are interested.

Due to the increase in propane, gas, & crew costs we find it necessary to raise the cost of a balloon ride to $295 per person. We had intended to not raise the cost of a balloon ride this year but, we will see an increase in costs of $40 - $50 per flight and we need to cover these additional expenses.

Our phone is out of service due to problems with Frontier with no service offered for a week. We can be reached by calling 574-536-8043. We have no plans to begin scheduling until after May 15 for flights in June. Bring on frequent sun and light winds.

The yearly annual inspection is done on the balloon and now we need to wait for the weather to improve for safe balloon flights. The current trend does not allow for reasonable scheduling. No one likes to be rescheduled frequently and neither do we. We will not fly if it is not safe for the passengers or the balloon.

The end of a fantastic week at 49th Balloon Fiesta. Time to say goodbye to our Launch Directors (Zebras) & volunteer crew; and celebrate with our family crew. Now for the long trip home & think toward next years 50th Fiesta. Can't wait.

Our season is almost over. Winds are more unfavorable for flying a balloon after September. We have Gift Certificates available for flying next summer at the current price of $275 per person. Good time flying with a friend and special time sharing the sky with a crop duster. I climbed to give him space and he got his job done flying under us. Wow!

Finally, the monsoons quit for us to get back in the air. It was a great flight to the west.

After weeks of monsoons & windy days, Stutsman Ballooning was able to take to the skies. It was a nice slow flight to the south west & a chance to see the glimmer off of Lake Michigan as well as the the Goshen Area from 2400 feet above the groung.

Stutsman Ballooning is anxious for the weather to settle down consistantly. We will begin scheduling the 3rd week of May for June flights. It is supposed to be warmer & drier than normal this summer & that may make for some good weather for flying.

After the flight, we did a glo for the crowd that gathered. It was a special experience for our adopted family from China as well as for the local children that enjoyed sitting on the basket for photos. Hudsons expression tells it all & both boys enjoyed being in the basket with Lilly

25 years ago Steve & Donna Wiktorowski left their wedding in our hot air balloon. Tonight they celebrated their 25 year anniversary with another beautiful ride from Stutsman Balloon's field on Indiana Ave. in Goshen. Congratulations to the Wiktorowski's on their 25 years.
