The recent snow is fabulous! There is about 38" at the cabins with more expected this week. We still have 2 holiday sessions available in the Half Pint Lodge, one in the Trails Out Lodge, and one in the Camp Creek Lodge. Come on up and enjoy the brisk outdoors!

Rare opportunity! The Camp Creek Lodge is available over the upcoming 3-day holiday weekend. The cost per night is $303 plus 7.8% room tax. Three night minimum. There is a $250 fully refundable damage deposit.

At least two of the local television weather forecasters are predicting 2 to 4 feet of new snow by Monday. We have one cabin available this weekend. It is called the Half Pint Lodge and it sleeps two people. If you like snow this is your chance to experience it Mt. Hood style.

Seasons Greetings! We have one cabin still available over Christmas. The Half Pint Lodge is located in the heart of Government Camp and has a maximum occupancy of two. The Christmas session has a check-in on 12/23 or earlier and a check-out on 12/26. The rate per night is $183 plus tax. For the first time in over 3 months we have a weekend available in the Half Pint Lodge. Due to recent storms we have quadrupled the amount of snow on the ground from 3 weeks ago. Come on up and enjoy a weekend in the mountains.

At the request of several guests over the past few years we finally completed our bed upgrade (I'll be the first to say that it was about time). I am happy to report that all the two-person beds are now either a queen or king size. Due to the steep and short flights of stairs in the cabins some of the beds required specialized box springs to make it all work. Thankfully a local mattress manufacturer worked with us to make what we needed.

Firewood acquisition for winter 2017 is in the books (and on the stacks). A hot summer made to feel even hotter by the processing of firewood. All the wood came from a tree that has been wreaking havoc on a NE Portland neighborhood. The last 3 winter wind storms caused this tree to shed branches the size of large trunks. In the last storm the tree knocked out power to 3000 people in sub-freezing temperatures.

I didn't think they would be missed but I have been told they will. Our grandma and grandpa style couch and rocker recliners in the Camp Creek have been replaced with new leather ones. Ummmm, comfy. (Sorry Debi.)

Responding to suggestions from our guests, we now have a larger a television in the Half Pint Lodge and in the Trails Out Lodge. There is no longer a need to gather around the TV just to see what is on.

The weather is turning wintery this weekend. It should be great weather for recreating in the snow. Currently we have about 40" of snow on the ground.

Great news! We have one cabin (Camp Creek Lodge) still available. It is located right in the heart of the village and sleeps 9 comfortably.
