Passions Pets Mountains Property

Mimi Garner-Bates has been providing real estate services as a California Realtor/Broker (00616168) since 1999 and prior when in 1995 she developed Eastern Plumas County’s most prestigious destination resort, Nakoma Resort and Spa, the Gold Mountain development and the highly acclaimed Dragon Golf Course. The clubhouse was an original Frank Lloyd Wright design from 1924. Pulled from the FLW archives, the Nakoma was the last public building design ever allowed to be built. In 2018, Mimi married David Bates who constructed the Nakoma. Mimi has been a pet lover since her first Boxer arrived as a kid. She lived in Mexico for almost 10 years farming gourmet produce and established the first Sociedad Protectora de Animales in La Paz. She now is a professional pet sitter for Rover.com and her 80-some clients. Her passions include volunteering as a director of the Eastern Plumas Recreation District and the Plumas County Special Districts Association. She is currently promoting the introduction of the Plumas Spirit Commuter and Tourism Passenger Train which will run between Plumas County and Reno, Nevada on Union Pacific tracks.
