After spending half an hour of unsuccessful attempts at capturing an image of one of the dozens of beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds flitting about the mimosa tree, I looked down to discover this little guy waiting patiently for his turn in the spotlight!

Hi, friends! Those of you who know us personally, know that the fight against childhood cancer is a battle very near and dear to our family’s heart.

As we’ve grieved great losses, we’ve chosen to move forward with the hope that someday the word “cancer” is not the most terrifying word a parent can hear.

St.Baldrick’s is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting childhood cancer research - providing invaluable funding grants to the scientists searching for improved treatment options, and ultimately, a cure for childhood cancers.

Tomorrow, our oldest daughter will be shaving her head in front of her school to raise money in support of St. Baldrick’s mission to eradicate childhood cancer as we know it. We are very proud of her and her selfless dedication to this cause.
