Last day! Finally got to see some (so many) giant tortoise. They are all over the place in the wild on this island. Sometimes 10 in a front yard! So cool to see. We walked the town for shopping, planted some indigenous trees for reforestation and ended at a ranch for dinner and folkloric show. Great final full day!

Day 5 Bartolome Island Diving Bo***es. They sound cool when they hit the water!!

Day 5- Bartolome Island. Zodiac ride to see diving Bo***es and look for Penguins. Got to see both! I also did another deep water snorkel with white tipped reef sharks, penguins, sea lions and thousands of sea stars everywhere. Of course my camera didn’t work for the snorkel so going to get footage from someone else.

Day 4- South Plaza Island and Sullivan Bay (I think). More wildlife spotting and sooooo many sea lions. Water here was gorgeous (but cold).

No fences, cages or boundaries. Just wild sea lions playing with us in the water. Amazing experience!!!

Day 3 aboard Celebrity Flora. Floriana Island. Deep water snorkel this morning. Swam with sharks, turtles and sea lions. Will have video when I figure out how to transfer it.
In the afternoon we did a wildlife ride, and we saw some amazing sites including more sea lions and the Blue Footed B***y. We visited a mailbox where you put your postcards, and travelers who come, sort through, then hand deliver to anyone from their area. We have two we brought home to deliver!!! Such a cool idea!!

Thank you Celebrity Cruises for the opportunity to experience the Galapagos Islands in August! We will board the stunning Celebrity Flora on a 10 day adventure that I'd never dreamed I would take!

That said - I will be closed (but have some access) from Aug. 8 - Aug. 19th.

In planning travel, sometimes you have to pivot!

Our trip to Vegas on Monday had to be postponed, so we scrambled. One passport is being renewed...need to stay in the country until we get that back. My husband likes to camp, I do not. Fantastic compromise? I think so!
