Central Nebraska Regional Airport is adding flights! See the list below for details

Regular flights to Phoenix-Mesa via Allegiant will increase to three starting January 12th. Seasonally, Allegiant is adding even more weekly flights to and from Grand Island (GRI) through April.

Upcoming Allegiant flights connecting to Phoenix-Mesa airport:
✈️ Next week (Dec. 22) and the following week (Dec. 29) GRI will offer five flights each of those weeks!
✈️ Beginning the week of Jan. 12, GRI will offer three flights a week, every Sunday, Thursday and Saturday.
✈️ Then beginning the week of Feb. 26 GRI will have 4 four flights a week through April. These flights will be every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Flights to Las Vegas will continue every Sunday & Thursday.

Photographer Michael Forsberg will be talking about his new book, Into Whooperland, this Thursday (Dec. 12th) at the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center.

While Grand Island is often known for the sandhill crane migration, conservation in Hall County is also geared towards preserving endangered whooping crane habitat. Nearly extinct 100 years ago, this tallest of North American birds has rebounded to nearly 850 wild individuals.

Pro volleyball comes to Grand Island Senior High December 7th!

Cheer on an open scrimmage for League One Volleyball (LOVB)-Omaha this Saturday, where local fans can experience this newly-launched professional volleyball league. Entry is free!

The LOVB-Omaha team features a dynamic roster of former Husker, Creighton Bluejay, international volleyball professionals. They will take the court at Grand Island Senior High for a public scrimmage shortly after 12:15pm. After the scrimmage, players will sign autographs. Athletes in attendance include Jordan Larson and Justine Wong-Orantes, Olympic Gold Medalists from the 2020 Tokyo Games, as well as former Husker Lauren Stivrins.
