"What would you like for Christmas, Susie?" said Santa on a snowy winter day.

"I want to shop around at Railside!" Susie exclaimed, a sparkle in her eye.

"And what exactly would you like from Railside?" Santa asked Susie.

"Oh, nothing in particular, just shop around for like 4 to 5 hours, then maybe end the night at Prairie Pride Brewing Co. for a couple beers with my friends!" Susie was clearly daydreaming (and over 21).

"You know what ... that sounds amazing! I need to go get my wallet!" Santa was clearly changing his Christmas plans.

Central Nebraska Regional Airport is adding flights! See the list below for details

Regular flights to Phoenix-Mesa via Allegiant will increase to three starting January 12th. Seasonally, Allegiant is adding even more weekly flights to and from Grand Island (GRI) through April.

Upcoming Allegiant flights connecting to Phoenix-Mesa airport:
✈️ Next week (Dec. 22) and the following week (Dec. 29) GRI will offer five flights each of those weeks!
✈️ Beginning the week of Jan. 12, GRI will offer three flights a week, every Sunday, Thursday and Saturday.
✈️ Then beginning the week of Feb. 26 GRI will have 4 four flights a week through April. These flights will be every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Flights to Las Vegas will continue every Sunday & Thursday.

Photographer Michael Forsberg will be talking about his new book, Into Whooperland, this Thursday (Dec. 12th) at the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center.

While Grand Island is often known for the sandhill crane migration, conservation in Hall County is also geared towards preserving endangered whooping crane habitat. Nearly extinct 100 years ago, this tallest of North American birds has rebounded to nearly 850 wild individuals.

Soup and cinnamon rolls at 6pm (free will donation), presentation at 6:30pm.
