A JOURNEY TO GERMANY



You are invited to join Fr. Dave Howell on a Journey to Germany this October for 13 days/12 nights (Oct. 4 – 17). Now that fall is upon us. I've had two requests in the last two days for my black bean and ham soup.. Here is the basic recipe. I do add cumin if I can't find smoked ham hocks. I will also use the neck bones too if I can find them. Best of luck!!

This feijoada recipe is a relatively simple one, and I think it has a good balance of smokiness and meatiness. Cooked low and slow, everything in this feijoada––the meat, beans, onions, and garlic––will all meld together perfectly.
