The Historic Lutsen Lodge has been taken by a devastating fire this evening…. A total loss to the lodge building…. Fires in 1949, 1951 and 2024. The amazing memories made here are in our hearts as we begin the heavy weighted process to rebuilt back better.

I'm a bit late in posting this, but we FINALLY have snow!! I've missed snowshoeing and getting out in the winter wonderland that northern MN turns into. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think snow-covered trees are one of life's greatest and simplest pleasures! Now I just need to get out with a hot tent before it all goes away 🤔..

Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge and experiences of natural science with individuals of all ages?

The Gunflint Trail Historical Society is seeking an energetic individual to join the staff at Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center as the Nature Center Program Director.

The position is five days a week and is compensated on an hourly basis. Wage is based on a 40-hour work week during the season (Memorial weekend through Labor Day including weekends).

Housing is provided. The application deadline is December 30, 2023.

White phosphor and the Gunflint Trail is a dreamy combo ✨️ There's a very faint glow of light above the treeline, it can be hard to see, but that's the Aurora Borealis!
