Another great weekend in Grand rivers. Beautiful sunrise from the house and live music with Dancing in the Streets while we watched a really great fireworks show.

It's finally time to kick of Hummingbird Month at the Woodlands Nature Station! Join us throughout August as we celebrate hummingbirds. These buzzing beauties are beginning their migration, and as many as 250 can be seen visiting the Nature Station at once as the fatten up for their journey.

We are starting off big with our annual Hummingbird Festival on August 5-6! Join us to celebrate hummingbirds through local art and artisans, hummingbird banding, and backyard wildlife demonstrations all weekend.

Dine along with the hummingbirds at one of our Hummingbird Dinners on the 12th, 18th, and 26th. The hummingbirds will enjoy sugar water while you enjoy a catered meal from Cadiz Restaurant. Reservations required, call 270-924-2020.

That's not all! If you photograph the hummingbirds at Nature Station during August, enter into our Hummingbird Photo Contest. If you'd like to get early access to take photos, register to get in at 9am on Saturdays (call 270-924-2020 to sign up). And finally, join us for regularly scheduled hummingbird programs throughout the month (Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10:30, Wednesdays at 1:30).
