Is it a bike path or a pump track? It's both! The idea behind this path is to get more kids riding bikes (and having fun, of course!) and to ready them to ride in/next to auto traffic by improving their bicycling skills and developing reaction time and recovery. Wouldn't it be great to have something like this in the Rogue Valley?

I hope you've experienced, as we have, the vast improvement in safety and cleanliness of the Greenway in Medford. The Livability Team has really stepped up to make it more comfortable for public use. While we sympathize with the unhoused community and hope they get the help they need, we do appreciate the incredible efforts Medford Livability Team to make the Bear Creek Greenway an urban oasis for walkers, cyclists, and rollers.

Illegal campsites in Medford have dropped by more than 90% over the past three years after a massive effort from the community.

Today, we present the first in a series of short films relating to bikes and bicycling to kick off your weekend, inspire you to gear up, and get your freehub ticking out some miles: Saturday Cycle Shorts. Happy Saturday!

As a grandparent, I relish the opportunity to teach my young granddaughter how to ride a bike and, like me, enjoy freedom and wind-in-her-hair exuberance. Though I'm scared to death to see her ride in traffic, I know that efforts to make cycling safe and convenient for all ages and abilities will one day make cycling with the kids to the park a joyous and rewarding experience.

Have you seen the new bike boxes and bike lanes on Ashland Street? Intersections are especially dangerous for cyclists to navigate through. This improvement prioritizes getting bicyclists safely through the intersection ahead of automotive traffic. What do you think?
