Always something Uncommon at the ranch. We woke to hoar frost yesterday. How does this happen? “Hoar frost forms when the water vapour in the air comes into contact with solid surfaces that are already below freezing point. Ice crystals form immediately, and the ice continues to grow as more water vapour is frozen.” Nature is amazing!

I took some pictures on a clear night I’ve attached. The house is located right on the edge of Bortle 3 skies, close to Bortle 2. Extremely quiet and relaxing.
