CONGRATULATIONS!!

Every single day he puts the work in.
Everyday at 4:00pm he gets his kit on and fills up his bottle and clocks out to put the work in. And somedays after paddling or already riding in the morning.
It’s relentless and sometimes being so close to the situation we find ourselves annoyed yet envious with the drive and motivation that he has. Or some of us find it confusing why he has to do it EVERYDAY?

Yesterday proves why.

Iceman Cometh Challenge is special. For lots of reasons. It is a crazy world class event that is second to none. It’s extra special to us bc it’s in our backyard and we get to watch Jorden race against some of the best guys in North America. And it’s extra special for our NB team when we get to witness him earn a podium finish.

We hear about his races. We know he’s strong. We know he’s talented. But it’s not until you get to see it first hand - how fiercely competitive and intense this sport is at the top. Unless you witness this, you don’t understand it. And Jorden is always right fricken there! This year 5th Place and seconds off the win.

HE IS SPECIAL. Year after year he competes. He doesn’t burn out. 16 Icemans and he consistently finishes top ten. He represents our humble little town and is one of the most well-known and respected riders in the state and the midwest. He turns our goofy fun store into a legit bicycle shop every time he lines up to race. We are so so so so so proud of him for yesterday’s race. So so so beaming with pride.

His goal and dream is to win the darn thing. 5th is fantastic. A few notes tho-He’s the oldest one on the podium, probably the only one clocking into work on Monday morning, definitely the only one that dominates in a canoe, and I would bet he would win a cross country ski race amongst the field. A few more reasons he is unique.

Congratulations Jorden! Give yourself the permission to enjoy this one for a while!
