We had a blast today. Flying these two VIPs in from Pennsylvania to Charleston. On the way down we pointed out Washington DC with a clear blue sky it was not obstructed with any clouds. Then with the Charleston towers permission we were allowed to fly low past downtown Charleston. They were able to see the battery, the marina, the big bridge, the cruise ships, The lighthouse, and California dreaming. Then when we got close to the airport they saw the Boeing hangers and the big dream lifter aircraft. Captain Chandler Greased the landing and they were clapping with excitement. They said it was the best flight they ever i’ve been on. After we secured the aircraft at the end of the flight we switched seats with them and they had a photo shoot in the cockpit with their sunglasses and headsets. They look like a couple of top guns. DirectJet has the best customers.

Last week our plane spent a week out on the road in St. Petersburg FL. One evening after dinner we met a guy riding through the city taking photos of his car. We asked him if he wanted to get some photos of it with a plane and he said he’d love too. These are some of the best photos that have ever been taken of our plane in my opinion. What a fun flight from Asheville to Charleston. We pointed out to the passengers the Biltmore Mansion as we climbed out of the valley then pointed out chimney rock on lake lure then as we descended into Charleston we flew close to Drayton Hall off the left wing. But wait there is more ha, after flying over my childhood home in West Ashley we saw the Boeing Dreamlifter offloading parts for the supercool Dreamliner. Then it was shrimp time at Charleston Crab House. I love my job!

Yesterday our PC-12 was privileged with landed at one of the most beautiful airports in NC. Nestled in a valley behind Grandfather Mountain, NC06 Elk River is a private airport located in the Application Mountains of North Carolina. What a beautiful and fun approach flying though the valley and between and below mountain peaks.
