The Vine Catering, formally Genesis Catering, has been providing full service catering across North and South Carolina for 20 years. Knox in the late 90’s, Knox’s passion for food began at a very young age. She started in the kitchen at just 12 years old; her favorite dish to cook for her parents and siblings-spaghetti! Now her love for food has blossomed into an opportunity to provide delicious c

uisine for food lovers and event planners alike. The Vine Catering has served some of Hollywood’s most famous faces including: R&B singer, songwriter and actress Fantasia; soul singer Lalah Hathaway; and comedian, actress and talk show host of The Talk, Sheryl Underwood. The Vine Catering now has its headquarters inside of the historic Magnolia House located in northeast Greensboro. Clients can choose to hold their special event at this community staple, or our professional chefs and coordinators can come to you! Weddings, family reunions, graduations, corporate meetings, private chef services and more- our company offers everything you need for any size group.

A violinist played for 45 minutes in the New York subway. A handful of people stopped, a couple clapped, and the violinist raised about $30 in tips.
No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. In that subway, Joshua played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.
Two days before he played in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out a Boston theatre, and the seats averaged about $100.
The experiment proved that the extraordinary in an ordinary environment does not shine and is so often overlooked and undervalued.
There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who aren’t receiving the recognition and reward they deserve. But once they arm themselves with value and confidence and remove themselves from an environment that isn’t serving them, they thrive and grow.

Almost every night before going bed for about a year, I watched Netflix High on The Hog documentary. The story of our rich History of our culinary journey. It gave me so much inspiration to keep pushing and I wanted to visit some of the places mentioned in the documentary, and let me tell you Scott Evans understood the assignment by getting me to Helena Island SC!!! I have met and cooked for famous people, but this experience for me was epic and by far one of the best!!!! Meeting Bill Green and his wife Sara owners of Grub restaurant in Helena Island SC featured in the documentary brought me soooo much joy!!! Thank you Mr. Evans 😘😘😘♥️❤️❤️♥️
