We can't believe we still have a room for this amazing trip to NYC? Have you been hoping to get to New York to see the Christmas lights and visit holiday markets? Would you like to travel with a nice group of people by train instead of bus? Would you appreciate a friendly group leader who will help you make plans to enjoy the city? THIS IS THE TRIP FOR YOU!!

We'll be traveling as a group on Amtrak departing Greensburg on Sunday, November 17th. We have three nights hotel at the Holiday Inn in Times Square in a two bedded room before returning home via Amtrak. While in the city you'll have lots of time to explore on your own, but we will be enjoying an Italian group dinner followed by tickets to see "Suffs", a Tony award winning musical sharing the story of the Suffragettes. Optional group activities include a second dinner and show (an Irish Pub followed by the new musical about the life and music of Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World), a visit to the 911 Museum, and a Hop On/Hop Off bus tour. Price for the base package including train, hotel, dinner and a show is $750 per person in a double room. For more details or to grab this final opportunity, call Justin at 742-832-8401 X 3378 as soon as possible!

The seas are smooth as we make our way back to Baltimore for a Saturday arrival. Yeaterday in Halifax was AMAZING!! Staying adventurous is great. Yesterday's tour stops included the Victorian Garden which is the first in North America, the cemetery where 110 victims of the sinking of the Titanic are buried, and the quintessential town of Peggy's cove. And the weather could not have been better!

We had a fantastic day yesterday in St John New Brunswick. We took a tour that showed us the reversing falls, a unique natural wonder only found here in St John. We went at the beginning of our tour and the end of our tour so that we can see how the water reverses. Then we drove our way over to the Bay of Fundy and a little town of St Martins. We enjoyed an amazing seafood lunch and a walk on the ocean floor. Then it was back to the ship for a private cocktail party for our Redstone group, followed by wear white night at dinner. Lots of new friendships are being made, the seas are now calm, and we are having a wonderful time. Today we are off to Halifax. Stay adventurous!

If you've been hoping to see the musical production DANIEL at Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster this might be your lucky day! We've had two cancellations of double rooms open up and we'd love for you to join us! Here are the details:

!We will depart the Redstone North Huntingdon campus at 7 am on Thursday, August 1 and make our way to Lancaster. First stop will be Kitchen Kettle Village for lunch on our own and shopping. Then travelers will have the option for another shopping stop (most likely Bird-in-Hand) or you can have a rest time at the hotel.

We will then come back together to make our way to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for a served dinner (including a beef, chicken, fish, or vegetarian option) followed by a performance of the ever-popular Sound of Music. After the show we’ll all make our way to the Comfort Inn and Suites in Gap, PA for a restful night followed by breakfast in the morning.

We’ll load up at 9:45 am to make our way to Sight and Sound for the 11 am show of Daniel. Half of our tickets are located in the first row of the balcony, and half of our tickets are in the center section of the floor, six rows back from the stage. We will take your seating preference into consideration as much as possible, but will give first access to the floor seats to those with more limited mobility. Both sections of seating are excellent. After the show we will make our way to Yoder's Amish Smorgasbord for a delicious late lunch before we make our way home.

Cost for this trip including motorcoach, lodging including breakfast, driver gratuity, dinner theater, Daniel ticket, and lunch are:

$445 per person in a single room
$375 per person in a double room (2 bedded)
$350 per person in a triple room (2 bedded)
$330 per person in a quad room (2 bedded)

Because we want to fill these cancellations, we are offering a $25 per person discount for the four remaining spots! Call Justin at 724-832-8401 X 3378 to claim yours!

Call us crazy but by special request we have added another trip in November! Redstone is going to New York City via Amtrak from Sunday, November 17 - Wednesday, November 20th! There are only 32 spots available for this trip so don't sleep on this one. Here are the details:

We will meet at the Redstone Greensburg Parking Lot before departing for the Greensburg Station to catch an 8:10 am Amtrak train to NYC, arriving at about 5 pm. Leaving the station, we will walk as a group to our hotel for the next three nights, the Holiday Inn in Times Square. Sunday evening will be free to enjoy on your own. Monday and Tuesday will also be spent exploring on your own, but we will be offering an optional Hop-On Hop-Off Bus tickets to explore the city on Monday (anticipated to be $60 or less) and tickets for the 9/11 Museum on Tuesday ($33 for those under 65 and $27 for those over 65.) Transportation throughout the city is on your own during our stay, since we are traveling by train and won’t have a bus available. Our hotel location will provide you with lots to do if you prefer just to walk about the city!

Trip prices include an incredible Tuesday evening group activity. At 5:30 pm we will enjoy an Italian buffet at Trattoria Trecolori, a Redstone favorite from previous trips. We then have orchestra seat tickets to see SUFFS on Broadway. Suffs is a stage musical with music, lyrics, and book by Shaina Taub, based on suffragists and the American women's suffrage movement, focusing primarily on the historical events leading up to the ratification of the nineteenth amendment to the United States constitution in 1920. The show opened on Broadway on April 18, 2024 at the Music Box Theatre. It received positive reviews from critics and 6 nominations at the 77th Tony Awards, including Best Musical, winning two, for Best Book and Best Score. We are proud to say that Redstone has a connection with this musical, since Shaina Taub is the sister-in-law of our VP for Home and Community Based Services, Geoff Gehring.

An optional activity is also available for Monday evening. We will enjoy a group dinner (most likely at an Irish pub) and then see the show “What a Wonderful World.” This brand new musical will open on November 11th and tells the story of Louis Armstrong through his own music. Price for this dinner and show will be $130 per person.

On Wednesday morning we will make our way back to the train station for a 10:50 am departure, arriving back to Greensburg at around 7 pm before being shuttled back to our cars at Redstone.
Price as follows include shuttle from Redstone, train, 3 nights hotel, Tuesday night dinner and show. Hotel stay does not include breakfast. Note that one bedded rooms are a king bed and two bedded rooms are two full size beds (not queens.)
Two people in a room with one bed: $750 per person
Two people in a room with two beds: $795 per person
Three people in a room with two beds: $650 per person
Four people in a room with two beds: $575 per person
One person in a room with one bed: $1175 (price is significantly higher because the room cost is not being shared)
Optional Monday Night Dinner and a Show: $130 per person
Optional Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour: TBD
9/11 Memorial Museum: $33 for those over 65 and $27 for those under 65

Only 32 spots are available for this fantastic trip so call Justin at 724-832-8401 X 3378 to hold your spot with a $100 deposit asap. Deposit is refundable up until September 17th. Trip must be paid in full by October 17th and after that point refunds can only be made if we find someone to fill your spot. To insure your trip, we suggest www.withfaye.com or www.squaremouth.com.
