Amou Haiti Check out the website! www.amouhaiti.com There are true needs in Haiti. We know that this isn't right. Thank you for fighting with us.

The lingering fallout from the January 2010 earthquake, the spread of the cholera epidemic, and the violence and disorder surrounding the elections have thrust many of the Haitian people into a state of hopelessness and darkness. We desperately long for rest and peace for our Haitian brothers and sisters, but we also realize that the line between providing help that spurs long-term growth and prov

iding help that actually hurts, by fostering dependence or a feeling of inadequacy, is very thin. In order to ensure that our support is focused on encouraging hope, dignity, and self-sufficiency, we work only through indigenous systems and organizations that support them. Currently, we are focusing on an area of Haiti surrounding the city of Pignon, where we are working with Pastor Jephthe Lucien, predominately through a partnership with Bright Hope. Jephthe has started over 40 churches, approximately 20 schools, and leads a variety of other counseling, relief, and job development projects. He has a heart for his people and is in position to continue to make drastic and lasting impact for the Kingdom. Bright Hope is an organization that provides relief and helps develop lasting impact strategies, such as micro loan and education programs, alongside the local leaders and organizations that God has put in place in the targeted country. They focus on working with people that live on less than one dollar a day and have made a great impact in communities around the globe. In Haiti, they focus on supporting Pastor Lucien and the work his team is doing. For more information on Bright Hope, you can visit www.BrightHope.org. We hope that you will join us all in our mission by visiting www.amouhaiti.com and sponsoring one of the products or services listed there. We will ensure that your gift will go directly to the need that you specify within Haiti. Real people with real lives and real needs will be blessed by what you choose to give. We will even email you a gift card so you can pass on your donation as a gift to a loved one for Christmas.
