Today, Dec. 7, is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Did you know a local man was the person responsible for alerting Washington, D.C. about the attack? You can learn more about him when you visit the museum today during our open house celebrating 75 years of the museum. There is free admission from 10 am to 4 pm. Donations are encouraged.

PARADE ROUTE

PLEASE NOTE: THE HORSE PARADE DOES NOT GO BACK DOWN BROADWAY AS IN PAST YEARS. IT CONTINUES DOWN SYCAMORE STREET. THE TRACTORS GO UP BROADWAY AND BACK DOWN BROADWAY BRINGING SANTA TO ANNIE OAKLEY PARK.

The parade route starts on Gray Avenue (starting at Armstrong Street) and heads north toward Martin Street; turns left and heads west down Martin Street; turns right up Broadway Street toward the circle; goes left at the circle heading southwest toward Sycamore Street; turns left heading southeast on Sycamore Street; turns left on Devor Street heading east back to the staging area.
The Hometown Holiday Horse Parade starts at 6 p.m. with the horses, wagons and carriages. The Lighted Truck and Tractor Parade follows.
Head to Annie Oakley Park after the parade for the Christmas Tree Lighting!

Today is the day!!! Let’s ring in this holiday season with the 21st Annual Hometown Holiday Horse Parade! Bring your family to Downtown Greenville for a day full of holiday magic! πŸ΄πŸŽ…πŸŽ„πŸšœ

Food Trucks starting at 2:00 PM (West 4th, East 5th, & East 3rd)
Petting Zoo 2:00 - 5:00 PM (Annie Oakley Park)
Carriage Rides 2:00 - 5:00 PM (Rotary Park)
Santa House 3:00 - 5:30 PM (Rotary Park)
Jingle Bell Bracelet's presented by MM Defense 4:00 - 5:00 PM (YOLO Park)

A reminder that the Horse Parade starts at 6:00 PM this year and is followed by the NEW Lighted Truck and Tractor Parade. Following both parades, the lighting of the Christmas tree will take place at Annie Oakley Park.
