Walt Disney World Wednesday: SeaBase at EPCOT

Most people think of Animal Kingdom when it comes to looking for different animals, but SeaBase is the best place to see sea animals. Some of the highlights of this area include riding The Seas with Nemo & Friends, seeing the 5.7 million gallon habitat home to thousands of sea animals (sea turtles, reef fish, rays, sharks), watching animal care experts feed and train different animals, and spending time observing rescued manatees.

Did you know that everyone can go into Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland? At Walt Disney World, you must have a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in order to go inside the castle. At Disneyland, you can do the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough and experience scenes from the movie!

Disney Food Friday: 1923

Named for the year the Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 is a Main Dining restaurant aboard the Disney Wish. This restaurant is themed to look inside the evolution of Disney animation. It features two different dining rooms, named Walt and Roy. While dining, you can enjoy looking around at different drawings, props and other tools of animation. Some tasty food options offered include Hyperion four-cheese tri-color tortelloni, Kingswell duck confit pastilla, pulled guinea hen corn chowder, tortiglioni pasta with pancetta and cremini mushrooms, rosemary crusted rack of lamb, 1923 peppered filet mignon, Los Feliz lobster salad, churros calientes, Hollywood Hills hot chocolate fudge sundae, Burbank blueberry-lemon Bavarian cream and more.

There is so much to do at Universal Orlando and staying at a Universal hotel is a great way to experience everything offered. With three categories to choose from, there is a Universal Orlando hotel for every budget.

All hotel stays include complimentary transportation to theme parks and Citywalk, early park admission one hour before the theme park opens to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Volcano Bay, and complimentary merchandise delivery from shops to your hotel. Stays at some hotels even include free Universal Express Unlimited to allow you to skip the regular lines at popular attractions as many times as you would like as well as priority seating at select restaurants.

Disney Food Friday: Croque Glace

I tried a popular EPCOT treat for the first time on my recent trip, and it was as tasty as all of the reviews have said! Croque Glace includes 1 scoop of icecream and choice of sauce in a homemade brioche bun that is pressed warm. You can try this tasty treat L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase.

One of the things that I enjoy about visiting both Disney World and Disneyland is visiting attractions that are at both parks but are different. One ride that I love at Disneyland is It's a Small World. While the attraction at Walt Disney World doesn't include any Disney characters, many characters can be found throughout the ride at Disneyland.

Senses Spa & Salon is the relaxing adults only spa aboard Disney Cruise Line. You can choose from a multitude of spa and beauty treatments or choose to relax in the Rainforest Room. Treatments include many different types of massages, facials, acupuncture, manicures, pedicures, teeth whitening, CoolSculpting, and more. If you want to choose to relax without a treatment, you can purchase a day pass or length of cruise pass to the Rainforest Room once on board. This area includes heated loungers, aromatherapy steam room, dry sauna, and more. All spa services and Rainforest Room access are an additional fee/not included in your voyage fare.

I’m on my way home after an amazing week aboard the Disney Magic. For anyone interested in a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I’ll be sharing more over the next week or so. For now, here is a tour of a verandah room on the Disney Magic (Disney Cruise Line’s first ship.) The birthday decor was a package that I added as a gift for my mom.

Disney Food Friday: 1900 Park Fare

With a refurbished dining room and other special touches, 1900 Park Fare will be reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on April 10th! This character meal will be served buffet style and offered for breakfast and dinner with returning guest favorites as well as new menu offerings paying tribute to some of the characters and their stories. Characters you will be able to meet include Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana in her new look from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Make sure to look for Big Bertha, an antique organ, on display in the main dining room.
