Last Saturday evening was one of the best eatin and singins yet to be, at Haywire. Mr. Jimmy Altman and his Bluegrass Boys, put on an amazing show. The quality of talent in their group abounded and was appreciated by everyone. Mr. Larry Stone prepared a catfish stew, Lee Ann cooked a backbone and rice dish that will be on our menu at the house, glory to God. The fellowship, music and food were enjoyed by all. I would like to thank those who came and supported us with their presence and donations, and we look forward to the next evening of fellowship, food and music. I will be anouncing the date soon. Next months event is going to be an evening of Karaoke and what a treat that will be. We have some of the most talented singers around this area, I have ever heard. I can hardly wait. Stay in touch and God Bless.

I know we just finished having an eatin and singin but I am honored to announce the next eatin and singin night will be September 9, 2017 and the featured music will be that of a Bluegrass Band comprized of local musicians from Hemingway to Gresham. The lead singer is Dale Parsons from Hemingway, and the banjo player in the group is a living legend in his own rite and hales from Gresham, SC. Jimmy Altman has entertained people with his amazing talents on the 5 string for many years and is looked up to and admired by his peers.
As you can probably tell, I am so excited to have these guys and their band coming to Haywire.
As usual, we will start the festivities at 6:30 P.M. on Saturday night, Sept. 9. This opportunity came to me so fast I haven't had time to decide what the main dish will be, but I will post an update within the next few days.
This is sure to be a special night of which we seem to be having many of lately, with Joey, Johnny, and now Mr. Jimmy and his group. God continues to bless us and we are so thankful and we give Him all the glory.
So, put that date on your schedule and we will look forward to seeing you there. God Bless!

What a night Saturday night was! We had a packed house to hear one of the most talented people the South Carolina Low Country has to offer. Johnny Tanner kept us entertained while we fellowshipped and feasted on chicken pileau, greenbeans, catfish stew, salad, chocolate pie, peach cobbler, homemade biscuits, and other delicious items, prepared by Wayne Douglas, Bill Malloon, Ed Palumbo, Larry Stone, Mrs. Ron Moore and others.
Johnny shared numerous songs written by him and a few he didn't write. He was accompanied by his wife (Sharon) on several tunes and what a voice she has. Johnny writes songs about his life experiences and eventhough he sings some serious songs, like the ones he has written for Sharon, he sings some that will certainly make you chuckle. We had a blast. I always thought Johnny had a screw or two loose, well now I know for sure. lol
Sharon, your jewelry is cool. I didn't realize what Lee Ann had bought til the next morning and I saw it was a guitar string braclelt, with Clemson colors.
Thank you Johnny and Sharon for a wonderful evening, and we look forward to seeing you guys again.
Also Johnny, thank you for the CD's. I had one playing today, on our new sound system.
If any of you who normally attend the eatin and singin, and weren't able to attend, want to hear Johnny or Joey, when you come in, if you will ask, I will play their CD's for you.
I will be announcing the next eatin and singin soon. The next evening is going to be an evening of open mike and Karaoke. We have so many people in this area who are awesome singers, and we are going to put the spotlight on them. This is sure to be a night to remember.
Ya'll stay in touch and we look forward to seeing you at the restaurant soon. Johnny ended the night for us, with giving thanks and glory to God. Amen and Amen brother.

Joey Cannon, brought down the house tonight playing to a packed house. Joey is an all around entertainer and the people loved him and his wit. We look forward to having him back in the near future. As usual the food prepared by some of our regular customers like, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Moore, Jimmy Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stone and Ashley Steed, to name a few, was fantastic. The people were generous in their donations and it was certainly a night to remember. We appreciate the support of the local people and those who drove quite a distance to get there. We look forward to the next Eatin and Singing in August. Stay in touch to find out dates and times. We are going to be talking to Mitch Rivers about a Karaoke night in the near future. Stay tuned, and God bless.

The next eatin and singin night is coming in July. Joey Cannon is going to be the featured performer and we are so looking forward to him coming. Joey, as many of you know, is a local singer, musician and songwriter and an all around great talent. Joey will be singing cover tunes as well as some of his own songs. It is going to be an evening for the Haywire history book. There will be future posts concerning the dates and times. We look forward to seeing you, and we give the Lord God, all the glory.
