What a night Saturday night was! We had a packed house to hear one of the most talented people the South Carolina Low Country has to offer. Johnny Tanner kept us entertained while we fellowshipped and feasted on chicken pileau, greenbeans, catfish stew, salad, chocolate pie, peach cobbler, homemade biscuits, and other delicious items, prepared by Wayne Douglas, Bill Malloon, Ed Palumbo, Larry Stone, Mrs. Ron Moore and others.
Johnny shared numerous songs written by him and a few he didn't write. He was accompanied by his wife (Sharon) on several tunes and what a voice she has. Johnny writes songs about his life experiences and eventhough he sings some serious songs, like the ones he has written for Sharon, he sings some that will certainly make you chuckle. We had a blast. I always thought Johnny had a screw or two loose, well now I know for sure. lol
Sharon, your jewelry is cool. I didn't realize what Lee Ann had bought til the next morning and I saw it was a guitar string braclelt, with Clemson colors.
Thank you Johnny and Sharon for a wonderful evening, and we look forward to seeing you guys again.
Also Johnny, thank you for the CD's. I had one playing today, on our new sound system.
If any of you who normally attend the eatin and singin, and weren't able to attend, want to hear Johnny or Joey, when you come in, if you will ask, I will play their CD's for you.
I will be announcing the next eatin and singin soon. The next evening is going to be an evening of open mike and Karaoke. We have so many people in this area who are awesome singers, and we are going to put the spotlight on them. This is sure to be a night to remember.
Ya'll stay in touch and we look forward to seeing you at the restaurant soon. Johnny ended the night for us, with giving thanks and glory to God. Amen and Amen brother.
