I created the Holiday Card Exchange Program to help bereaved mothers/families at already difficult times of the year: the holidays! I'm doing the exchanges on most major holidays. Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Christmas. I'm going to explain a little about the program here. You will be required to purchase or make two greeting cards for whatever holiday it is that you've signed up for
. You also have to be able to pay for the postage for each card. If you're within the USA, the cost of two stamps, one for each card, is 98 cents, 49 cents a piece. If you're within the USA & the names you get are outside the states, you put 3 stamps on each card. HOWEVER, I rarely give two outside the states. If you wish to remain inside your own country, you can specify this when you sign up. This won't be a problem for anyone inside the USA, but it may be hard to do if you're outside the states since there's usually only 5 or 6 people that sign up in other countries. If you sign-up, you must honor this commitment! Anyone that joins & drops out WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME, will not be allowed to join ANY future programs!! This is very important & I take it VERY seriously! We want to bring joy, not take it away! The holidays are hard enough as it is! The biggest problem I have with the program is people signing up & then not sending their cards. This not only upsets the person that didn't get a card, it upsets me as well. I'm the one that has to deal with the hurt feelings & the questions as to why they didn't get cards. I wish I could send cards to everyone that signs up, but I can't. This is why I depend on all of the people that sign up to do what they agreed to do: send the cards. And if they can't, just let me know. It takes two minutes to send me a message saying I have to drop out. That's all it takes! If you let me know, you WILL be able to join next time. But, if you know you won't be able to buy or make two cards & two stamps, please do not join. I understand that times are tough right now, trust me, I know!
