Where do I feel safe enough to be my best calm self?

It’s a question to be looked at and addressed. 2020 and 2021 have been filled with highly stressful situations. Even on the verge of overwhelm; both globally and within our community. I haven’t even addressed the season we’re in. It’s bound to wreck havoc with our personal world.

How are you coping? How are you keeping balance? What do you do to shut-out/off the noise we’re bombarded with daily?

I’m an esthetician. I became an esthetician as a result of receiving facials. I loved, not only the results to my skin, but how i felt after a facial massage. My mind was blank, I was at peace, my neck and jaw were pain-free. My scalp not tight. I felt rested, beautiful and safe.

I wanted to share this with people. It’s my intention, especially in these days, to offer that to you. 🙏🏼

I’m late for Father’s Day because this year was hard.
My step-father passed in 2006. He was quite the man. Charismatic, bigger than life, loved to laugh, an exquisite dancer and loved to be on the water and fish.
My mom, pretty much raised me on her own after my parents divorced. She was a woman ahead of her time. Strong, independent, left her family base in Idaho to start a new life in the big city of Detroit all on her own. She was a powerhouse! There wasn’t much she couldn’t figure out. Even now, at 85 years of age, she wants to repair the vacuum so I let her. 🤷🏻‍♀️
My husband, Gary was the epitome of dads. He was the perfect partner to raise a child with severe asthma and was the rock to my sometimes nervous waters. He made us laugh in his subtle, quirky, teasing ways. Gary passed all too soon and I know our daughter misses him daily, but he was the foundation she was built on and has become a strong young woman, who is in her own rights as funny, supportive and trustworthy.

My new order has arrived from
I love their Vitamin C+ Enhancement Serum cocktail, a blend of C, E Ferulic and Hyaluronic Acid.
Then there’s Pure Hyaluronic Acid that’s such a pleasure to apply.
Wrapping up the order with a new “try me out” of their Hydrating Mist with chamomile and lavender. I think I’m going to personally enjoy testing this one.

While I’m elated that the mask mandate has been eased, I will continue to require masks to be worn within my studio during your visit. My goal has been and remains to keep each of my clients safe to the best of my ability.

I have been vaccinated and will continue to wear a double mask and thoroughly cleansing between clients.

After researching, I decided on Sorella Apothecary because they've left out toxins, harsh fragrances, parabens and sulfates. The products are packed with rich nutrients and active ingredients that support your skin's natural regenerating properties.

What are my fav products you ask?

My top three favs are:
1. Apricot Mango Cleansing Milk
2. Lemon Lightening Serum

The Apricot Mango Cleansing Milk because it removes my make-up when applied to dry skin. After a quick massage, adding water will emulsify the product making my skin look and feel fully hydrated.

Recently, I noticed sun-damage reappearing on my cheeks and figured out it's because I'm in the car driving lots more. I'm testing Lemon Lightening Serum and will get back to you on the results but I'm feeling hopeful that this will be the ticket to balancing my skin tone again.

My next fav (not in any order) is the Facial in a Bottle Serum. It not only supports and enhances Lemon Lightening, it also regenerates cellular turnover. That means reducing the visible signs of aging! Weeeeee!

I have to admit to loving the Blueberry Milk Moisturizer. I've already had to place a second order for this one. Not only does is smell like a fresh bowl of picked berries, it goes on the skin feeling slightly heavy but then something magical happens and the skin soaks it in leaving a velvety smooth touch and appearance.

Lady's Mantle making her appearance. Myth says ladies of King Arthur's court would collect the morning dew if this herb to wash their face with. It was thought to keep the skin youthful. I love seeing the drops gather on the leaves.

Looking over the past year, remembering our stay-at-home situation, I was in touch with many of my clients giving them permission to leave their brows alone. Let them grow out. The world had permission to be au natural and many did! That’s when the beauty of the natural brow grew in and I started to receive the pics of my favorite brow condition - messy! Fully grown in! I was excited! It was one of the many gifts COVID gave me..

The process of moving into a new place can take time and imagination but when all is said and done.. I’m in and in full operation. Lol yes! This is so true. My husband would often point women out to me no matter where we were. I knew I was a professional bringing my business home when my young daughter started pointing out those in dire need too. Both have a good eye. 😂

Yes, it's true! After years of searching for the right place, I've found it. I'll be moving to the corner of Maumee and Fisher to a larger space of 390 sq ft with windows and my own bathroom.

All my booked clients for February will continue to be seen at the salon with clients booked for March and on will be seen at 17854 Maumee located at the corner of Maumee and Fisher Road. The entrance is the Black door facing Maumee. Free parking for my clients is available beside the building.

More info with photos will be coming your way in the upcoming days so keep your eyes open. I'll also be sharing updates on Instagram and Facebook so be sure to follow me if you’re not already.

I'm looking forward to expanding my services and retail lines now that I'll have more space.
