UPDATE: Cherie has been located. Over the last few weeks since she was reported missing, our Deputies and Detectives have been diligently following up on all leads, tips and information we received. One of the techniques we use when we have vehicle information is leveraging License Plate Readers also known as LPR. These readers are located throughout the United States. Once a license plate "hits" the reader our office is contacted, and we are able to contact law enforcement in the area to be our eyes and quickly respond to the area or "be on the lookout".

Cherie has been located in another state. She left the area on her own accord. She is not and has not been in any danger.

We appreciate all of the information from the public on Cherie and her possible whereabouts.

Cherie Hogan has been reported missing by family. Cherie left her residence with a friend on 01/09/2025. She later
sent text messages to her family causing them concern with her mental well-being.

🚧 Project Update: Twin 140,000 Gallon Tanks & Pipeline Progress 🚧

We’re excited to share updates on a grant-funded project coinciding with our Tank 5 addition! 🌟

Here’s where things stand:

🛠️ Tank Installation:
• Twin 140,000-gallon tanks will soon stand tall at Vernal Dr. and Merrell Rd.
• The old underground tank is halfway demolished. Once cleared, we’ll move 3,000 yards of dirt to prep the site for the pad and concrete work.
• A second contractor will handle tank construction.

💧 Pipeline Progress:
• 1 mile of new pipe is in the ground from the corner of Black Rd and Harper Rd to 18403 Harper Rd (approx. 5,000 linear feet).
• 6 hydrants (5 being installed this week) and several valves are being added for improved service and resilience.
• Pressure testing begins next week, with the pipeline expected to be operational by early March.

🔧 What’s Next:
• Tie-ins to existing mains will cause brief disruptions for the Black Rd/Harper Rd area. Thanks for your patience!
• Final steps: Disinfection, flushing, testing, and starting normal operations—likely within 30-45 days.

This project also includes a well treatment plant for resiliency, though we’re awaiting updates on that part of the process.

STCHS would like to extend our condolences to the family of Leonard Cassaretto, a long-time Groveland supporter of STCHS and the cause of local historical preservation, who passed away in early December. Our sincere appreciation to him for all he did for STCHS over the years. He will not be forgotten.
